Trish Schiesser has written a novel of intense action and suspense centered on the Great Lakes. Ida Reed is the unlikely heroine whom all women wish to be: strong, self-relian, but not without faults;the epitome of a new breed of women.

Sense of drama, human element, every-day interchanges, sexy episodes. Love Final Entry, voice comes through!Admire your drive, determination ... humor. -- A.S.W. of Cape Cod, MA

The novel Ida's Ride is a good read - exciting and appealing! -- Rosalie Riegle, Professor, Saginaw Valley State University, MI

From the Publisher

Relying on her many years in and on the sweetwater seas coupled with recent experience sailing on a Great Lakes ore boat, Schiesser has brought to life the fascination of steamboatin' and combined that with a situation that could be only too real in today's political climate. This novel is for men as well as women. Ride with Ida as she copes with adversaries and sails the lakes in search of herself, taking challenges head on, but never demanding sympathy in her role as a sensitive, daring woman who ultimately finds action, adventure and love.
