Product Description

Protect yourself from payment fraud and identity theft. Many credit cards, drivers' licenses, transit cards, school, and company identification cards, and all passport cards have a Radio-Frequency-IDentification chip embedded inside them. These chips allow vendors to scan your credit card quickly at the checkout and allow authorities to scan your ID or passport card from a distance, making border crossing a little faster. However, it also makes stealing your identity a whole lot easier. Thieves can steal your information right through your regular purse or wallet. Our Secure Sleeves will hold one credit card or ID card each and are made of a durable Tyvek exterior combined with our shielding material on the inside. The sleeve is slim enough that you can put your shielded card back in your wallet where you normally keep it. The Secure Sleeve is designed to shield all contactless credit cards, drivers licenses, ISO 14443A/B and EPC Gen1/Gen2 contactless smart cards and any other contactless card that operates at 13.56 Mhz and above. *Please note that it does NOT shield non-smart cards (older 125khz proximity cards). On cards that include a secondary 125 khz antenna added for backward compatibility only the new 13.56 Mhz interface is shielded. Shields these types of cards: - All new contactless credit cards - US Passport Cards - Enhanced Driver's Licenses such as Washington, Michigan, New York, and Vermont - Many transit cards such as the DC Metro and Boston CharlieTM card - TWICTM (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) - HID iClass, HID MIFARE®, HID FlexSmart, DESFire - Indala FlexSmart - sQuid cards used in Europe Does NOT shield these types of cards: - Older "prox" cards, HID 125 khz. Includes: ProxCard II, ISOProx II, DuoProx II, Smart ISOProx II, Smart DuoProxII, ProxCard Plus - Indala FlexISO, FLexCard, FLex Tag - Pack of 10

You have everything to loose if you do not protect your cards...I know!

I do not have duplicate cards on any of my accounts, but several months ago, one of my bank debit cards was compromised. It was on a Friday and I logged onto my account as I do weekly to verify my purchases, etc. and minutes prior, someone (I'm in Texas and in possession of my credit card) had just made a purchase for $15 at a store I did not recognize. While I am trying to figure it out (minutes) ... another purchase in the amount of $264 posted. Again, I am at home and in possession of my card at transaction time and now I go into panic mode and immediately call the bank. WHILE on the phone with customer service ... another charge comes in for $424 ... it already authorized and the rep put a hold on my account. She also told me it was a SWIPE at various retailers in New Jersey. ... Over $700 taken from me within minutes and if I had not been on the computer at that time, they would have wiped out my account to the tune of thousands of dollars!

A few weeks later, the money was TEMPORARILY posted back to my account while the bank fraud services did their investigation.

I went into my own detective mode and called the merchants ... all who stated they require ID!

In the end, I find out, that the card was duplicated and the thief used THEIR phoney name and phoney ID, but with MY account information.

Valid account ... someone elses name that matched their phoney ID. Looked legitimate to the merchant.

Yes, I got my account straightened out!

Why not protect yourself so this doesn't happen to you!???

The scanners at my office had no problem reading my employee ID right through the sleeve. I usually have to hold my card about an inch and a half from the scanner for it to register; with the sleeve on I had to hold it a little closer (maybe an inch). I don't know what this means in terms of identity theft deterrence; maybe the sleeves help a little, maybe they don't. My recommendation to new users is to try their cards (in the sleeve) with scanners that are supposed to pick up a RFID signal, and see if they are working for you.

These are high quality RFID protection sleeves of the same type issues by DHS and ICE. Nice. However, they're way over priced.. Folks, these are nothing more than foil wrapped tiny envelopes.

I purchased these after a friend had her wallet scanned at the baggage claim at the airport. There are criminal gangs that use devices that read the magnetic stripes on credit cards. They only have to get close enough to your wallet in a pocket our purse. That's what happened to her. She got a call from her credit card fraud detection while on the way home from the airport after a number of suspicious charges were made to her card.

These little pouches have a foil shield inside that acts as a faraday cage to prevent reading the magnetic stripe. This is really inexpensive protection. My only suggestion is that I wish they were slightly larger (by a millimeter) so you could get your credit card in and out easier.

I must say I was expecting a secure sleeve that could protect my credit cards not damage them.
The inside of the sleeve has a sliver coating that attaches itself to cards like paint. It would have been
better if the the coating was on the outside of the sleeve so it would not damage both sides of a credit card,
bank card or any other type of card. I have since discontinued using these sleeves as they are not
suitable for my needs.

I would recommend that you stay away from these sleeves until they come up with a better coating that
will protect your cards electronically and physically.

This product started coming apart at the seams when putting in the credit cards from the start.
The idea was good, but there must be a way to make them better. Very cheaply made.

Its a good product. Clear face would help more. Even if its partial view, just to see the face of card. And make it easyer to pull the cards out of sleeve.

Liked the security for credit and debit cards. This item was recommended by several security firms and does work as advertised. Fits nicely into the credit slot in my wallet too.
