I found this book very readable and interesting, which includes a few early female theorists - a pleasant surprise! Reads not at all like a textbook, but more like an entertaining summary of very important social theorists.

A great book...,

Zeitlin writes in an overly wordy fashion, but fails to say anything of real importance. The book is occasionally helpful for better understanding the thinker's main works (therefore I had to give it 2 stars instead of 1), however, I empathise the word occasionally. I would sooner watch reruns of the sit com Mamma's Family then re-read this book.
