Spanning four generations of women, Idioglossia, which means a secret language between a few people or the murmur of lunatics, is a witty but moving story of one family's struggle to resist a legacy of madness.

Great bookclub book,
By A Customer
This review is from: Idioglossia (Paperback)
This novel examines the lives of women within one family - the changes from generation to generation, lost hopes and new dreams. The intricate patterns of women with and without men are illustrated thoughtfully and in a throughly entertaining and enjoyable way. I would recommend this book to anyone that was looking for a fun, readable book with plenty to think about and discuss.
