Jazzy rock fusion at it's absolute best.

Overall, this is a great disc, similar in style to Liquid Tension Experiment, or Bozzio Levin Stevens, and fans of that genre may find this rewarding.

Worth getting just for the cover picture...Oh but if youre a musician, especially a bassist, yeah thats another reason to buy this.

This is my 1st cd by Attention Deficit and I plan on getting their other very soon. This disc ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! Being a bassplayer I am in utter awe of Manring's playing. Alexander's drumming throughout is simply stellar, and Skolnick sounds incredible!! Great mix of jazz/rock/prog fusion... track 10, Nightmare on 48th St. is sooooooooooo killer, monster drums!!!!!!! INCREDIBLY GREAT INSTRUMENTAL CD!!!!!

Alex Skolnick, Michael Manring and Tim (Herb) Alexander have really clicked on this album. Their first album was good, but this one just smokes. Instrumental grooving improvizational rock with touches of jazz, funk and I don't know what else. This thing will be stuck in my cd player for a LONG time...

A great album... 4.66 stars. These three are helping to bring fusion into the next millennium. They play very well together. Tim Alexander is an amazing drummer. Manring also is a master. In fact I like his bass on this album more so than on At War with Self (which is also a great album). There are two reasons why I do not give it 5 stars... 1) It seems as if more time could have been spent composing the songs, rather than the project being a great jam session. 2)I would not have minded Alex showing off more so. A couple of times he settled for playing minimal sounds. Great music! Highly recommend!

This album is absolutly the best music Ive heard in years. It is about time someone put out an album of such magnitude. Alex Schkolnik, Tim Alexander and Micheal Manring are the best fusion/rock/mteal combo Ive ever heard. I cannot say enough about this album. It will take you places youve never been. Buy it, and you will NOT be dissapointed.

You never know what's going to happen when you bring together pro-musicians in the studio for a short time, learn and/or create the song on the spot, and record it. If you're recording Kind of Blue or New York Stories you hit a home run, but others aren't so lucky and strike out. Sometimes the magic flows and other times it never takes off. This one flows.

Alex Skolnick (guitar), Tim Alexander (drums), and Michael Manring (bass) have created an instrumental disc (a blend of rock and jazz) with superb playing and songs with structure and class. I don't know much about the other bands/projects these musicians have been part of, so they are somewhat new to me, but on this release they are impressive. Michael plays his fretless bass through the whole disc. For me that's a big plus. I really like the tone of a fretless and the sound it makes when you slide into another note. Tim is a passionate drummer and holds down a tight rhythm section, and Alex is a versatile guitarist who reminds me of Chris Poland.

Michael is piss your pants amazing on here especially on...I think RSVP. Cant remember the name offhand, but Ive played JUST that track for other bass players that claim they have heard it all and all I hear is either 'damn, who is this guy?' or 'oh yeah I can tell this guy knows his way around a fretless...damn'. Either way there is an enthusiastic and amazed 'damn' included along with scooting closer to the speakers followed by an increase in volume. The best of the two from the trio but buy the other one too, i mean theyre both great

If you are interested in progressive type music this album is a must have. Of the two releases this should be the first one you pick up. Heavy, funky grooves and guitar melodies that flow smoothly over the top.
