5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, But Missing A Few Core Songs
This is a great soundtrack with different types of music, but it's missing some of the movies core songs. Like David Garza's "Core (In Time)" (When Anton finds Molly's book), Vanessa Daou's "How Do You Feel" (When Anton and Molly are in her room), BTK's "Peppyrock" (Song in Anton's headphones), Two's "I Am A Pig" (When Anton smokes...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good. Not great.
I had originally purchased this soundtrack for four songs. They were (in order of appearance) Peppyrock, that song when Anton finds Molly's lyrics book, the song when they are in her room and finally the song that is playing when Anton gets crushed by the car.

I had originally purchased this soundtrack for four songs. They were (in order of appearance) Peppyrock, that song when Anton finds Molly's lyrics book, the song when they are in her room and finally the song that is playing when Anton gets crushed by the car.

Unfortunately, none of these songs were on there. However, it is still an incredibly worthwhile album, and I'm glad I paid my good money for it. True, I don't like The Living End nor Offspring that much but there is a large selection left from the other tracks. I love Zebrahead.

As for "I Want to be Sedated" not appearing on the album, I don't see it as any big shame. Beheaded is a much better song to my mind.

If anyone has a copy of the four songs I mentioned at the top, could they email me at MacPow@p085.aone.net.au. Or, if anyone knows where I can get a copy, likewise, let me know.

1.0 out of 5 stars One memorable song, but not because it's good., December 27, 2003

An OK album. Most of it's forgettable, though. Only The Offspring's re-release "Beheaded" from their 1987 demo tapes sticks out... but not for the best of reasons; it's shockingly gruesome. It'll give you nightmares, I swear. It's THAT explicitly gory. Not the Idle Hands movie (not scary at all), the Offspring song. Despite the fact The Offspring say it's not to be taken seriously, it's hard not to considering how aggressively serious Holland sounds. Definitely would take some getting used to for fans of anything after Smash. Overall, the soundtrack's fine, but needed some better songs. Santeria would've been great on here to contrast the rest of the low-fi, depressing "punk" music.

1.5 out of 5.

3.0 out of 5 stars Theres a song not mentioned here, anyone able to help?, August 26, 2003
This review is from: Idle Hands (Audio CD)
Does anyone know the name of the song playing while the two rombie guys are eating buritos? the one before he puts tape round his neck. I love this song, I've been trying for years, 6 now, to find out the artist and song. I had it on tape, lent it to a friend and never got it back. Now I can't remember. Please if anyone knows leave a post.

Even though it's missing some songs, the songs that are on the ST are great. I highly recomend this CD.

WHY doesn't the album have OFFSPRING on it? OR better yet (and probably the only reason I wanted the soundtrack!) - Ace Frehleys (KISS), "New York Groove" (Most excellent oldie but goodie tune!)? Gee - I thought forsure these two would at least be on it, with NYG being No.1 !

offspring_34 hasn't even heard it yet. How the hell can you give it five stars? I have heard it and it is good. I would give it 4 stars, but since the living end is on it, i give it a 5

Bah, I loved the movie, so fun. The CD, well... bah. Not my thing I guess, but I really really really would love to know what song is being played while Anton and Molly are on her bed. BTW - The song on his Walkman is BTK's song Peppyrock and the one with the NIN feel and the chorus "What have we got?" us Two's song I'm a Pig. In case you couldn't piece that together from the previous posts. :) Anyway, if you know that song I'm looking for plz email me the name of it or the artist at creindl@purdue.edu

2.0 out of 5 stars missing, September 2, 2004
This review is from: Idle Hands (Audio CD)
there was good songs on this cd i have to admit, such as static x with push it and rob zombie always enhances a soundtrack. but the problem i had with this album is the songs that are missing. almost all the good music in the movie were left out. it took me a while to find one song in particular, i am a pig from two. then they also left out that 2 live crew song that they showed the video for. why was it that these songs were deleted from the soundtrack, but songs like enthused by blink 182, bleeding boy from disappointed incorperated and my girlfriends dead by the vandals were all added?
