Editorial Reviews

Feathers is an all female electronic/pop band from Austin, Texas in the United States, formed in 2011, consisting of singer-songwriter Anastasia Dimou, Courtney Voss (bass), Kathleen Carmichael (keyboards), and Jordan Johns (drums). Alex Gehring (Ringo Deathstarr) and Destiny Montague (Carl Sagan) are alternate members. Feathers formed in 2011, following a move to Austin by Anastasia Dimou, from NY. The band has supported Washed Out, The Duke Spirit, Robyn and played several festivals since its inception, including All Tomorrow's Parties, Fun Fun Fun Fest, Psych Fest and SXSW Music Festival (where they recently opened for Depeche Mode). Feathers will release its first full-length record, If All Now Here in 2013. Mixed by Steven DePalo (Cold Cave Voxtrot) and mastered by Howie Weinberg, the LP also features two songs produced by Brian Foote (Zola Jesus, Lotus Plaza). Feathers was The Guardian New Band of the Day (No 1,440) on Monday 28 January 2013.

this album is for anyone who loved the early electronic music. everytime i listen to this CD i hear different sound effects. Anastacia's vocals are so great. i heard them when they opened for Little Boots. goes very very well with Depeche Mode & Little Boots.

Got hooked on Feathers after hearing a snippet of their music on XM. This debut album is solid with great hooks. Land of the Innocent is a wicked strong single reminding me of an updated version of Depeche Mode-Kim Wilde. Didn't find any weak tracks on an of the 10 offerings on this debut. Played this for friends who jumped on board. Feathers has a great future and look forward to whats next for them.
