Jeff Patton tells the inspiring story of a small church in western Pennsylvania who caught a pastor's vision for how it could minister in its world and beyond. Patton helps the church prepare a vision statement, then provides training laypeople so that they become the ministers of the church, in fulfillment of the Ephesians 4:11-13 model.
Patton moves on after 11 years, but the work he did there is still being carried out. I liked that the book was less about getting the church to become big, and more about how a small church can make a big impact for Christ. Very good. |
