Excellent Songs, December 13, 2001
This review is from: (If) I'm a Ham, Well You're a Sausage (Audio CD)
A lot of good songs on this disc, ranging in style from new wave to gospel. An overlooked artist & songwriter, at his best vocally when he's not trying so hard to be a soulman. I overrated this, 4 stars is more accurate, to help negate that previous, way off-the-mark review.

GREAT FUN, June 8, 2000

First heard Don Dixon open for Marshall Crenshaw in 1989. He was actually better than the main event! Love his sound, love his voice, and, except for the ballads, he can make you be-bop all day long!

Real rock, March 29, 2004
This review is from: (If) I'm a Ham, Well You're a Sausage (Audio CD)
I was fortunate enough to be in attendance at UNC-Chapel Hill when Arrogance was the goingest band around. I loved to watch Don, Robert, Scott, et.al. do their thing onstage. They were lively, funny and the very soul of party rock and roll. Not only were they all that, but genuinely nice guys, too. I have never been able to understand how they didn't break big-time into the mainstream. This album is, to me, great to the last note and very nostalgic--"South Side Girl" and "Your Sister Told Me" were Arrogance standards. I just love this one--from start to finish!
