I fell in love with this book the first time I read it. As an early childhood educator as well as a Mom, I found it to be a wonderful, heartwarming story for a mother to read to her child. The illustrations are beautiful also. I purchased several and have given them all as baby shower gifts. Now I need more. I highly recommend!

I bought this book for my Granddaughter and this part of an email I just received from my son.

"Just a short note to let you know that the book "If I Could, A Mother's Promise", the one you inscribed and gave to Grace, has become her favorite. She brings it to us for us to read to her many times each day. And if you want to know the truth, I can hardly get through the dang thing without starting to cry. Sometimes by the end of the day if I've read it a number of times I can keep a dry eye."

Looks like a real winner to me...

My daughter picked this book at the library and after reading it to her, I fell in love with it instantly. It's such a beautiful story and sentiment. I will be giving this as baby shower gift from now on. Then I read the book jacket that the author originally wrote it as a poem to her mother on her 75th birthday. That got me thinking how the love can apply to anyone not just your child. So now I am going to give this to my parents on their 40th anniversary too. Love, love, love this book!

I just love this book. It's the "perfect" book for every mother. It says it all in just a few short pages. As a mother myself, I can definitely relate to the Author. It's a book worth getting and reading over and over again. I know I will.

If I would have known the content was the way it was, I certainly would not have purchased it. Not worth the money. A Mother's Promise! Not a lot of rhyme or reason like you would expect, like "I love you with all my heart" or "You are my I love you", Just not for me I guess.

Since this book had only 5 star reviews I expected...something better. The idea is sweet, but the execution leaves me feeling like the mom can't do much of anything.
