This is one of those songs that 10,20 or whatever amount of years pass. People will be able to relate to and still enjoy. You will either remember that bad relationship you were in, and be thankful you found someone better. Or thank about what you would have done differently in that relationship. Not only do you feel that emotion in the song you see it in the video. Once again Beyonce shows why she is one of the top female artist in the game not afraid to take risk and grow before our eyes.

A friend going through a very sad breakup (is there any other kind, for a woman?) told me about this song. I listened to it and I absolutely love it. I have never been a Beyonce fan, but this song convinced me that she is an incredibly talented vocalist. Her voice was so full of emotion and strength and sadness. Great song, amazing singer.

I do NOT like this song. I think Beyonce sounds like she's whining. I like some other songs by her, but this one is just repetative and annoying.

I am not a big fan of Beyonce, but I love this song. It has so much feeling in it, and is so much fun to sing along to... lol.

This song is just overall a great song. Its moving and heartfelt - a completely different sound from "Single Ladies." I absolutely love this song. 5/5

"If I Were a Boy" is a great ballad for Beyonce.

At first I didn't like the song, but it has grown on me. Not as much as "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)," but it's still a really good track!

I love how Beyonce can make different styles of music, but, please don't cross the line. Doing something outrageous like Country, or something.

But, "If I Were a Boy" is a really good song!

"Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" is such a great, up-beat, song that'll have you singing and dancing along!

Also, the music video is just as addicting! The dancing in the video is awesome and so is Beyonce!

I AM...SASHA FIERCE is a great CD, also another song that is great is "Halo," which is supposed to be a next single.

Beyonce seems to never do wrong.. even when you think her new work won't be as strong.

Beyonce's "If I were a boy" is a cover of a '60s soul song. Former Destiny's Child frontwoman Beyonce sings how tender and understanding she'd be to her woman. She has a beautiful voice-- unfortunately,the song is forgettable. It doesn't rise to the guilty pleasure glory "I kissed a girl" (the Katy Perry or Jill Sobule version)

"If I were a boy" is at once Beyonce singing from the perspective of a woman with a cheating,jealous boyfriend, with her closing "you're just a boy" and as a woman fantasizing about how she'd care about her lady. It's got a simmering sapphic undercurrent. If Beyonce were a boy,she'd be quite a man!

For whatever reason this song is pretty hot, not so much anymore, but it was. BC JEAN's version is MUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH better, being that she sung it first. It sounds like sloppy seconds on Bey's part, doesn't sound natural for her.
