I loved this book. Now that doesn't mean every story was great-not everyone was. Most of them were very good, and the evil overlord doesn't always win. But I love rooting for the bad guys and am always pleased when they win especially if it's through some clever or smart way. Thought this book did pretty good justice to the evil overlords of the world. Again, if you love to root for the bad guys, this a great read, if not-skip this.

Novelty short story collections are generally a let down for me. So it was a bit of surprise to find that I generally enjoyed this collection a good bit. None of it is great literature, but over 2/3's of the stories qualify as 'good reads'. This is a lovely book to have for occasions when you desire a small dose of escapist literature.

A humorous take on what it means to be an evil overlord through short stories. As younger people than I might say ROTFLOL while reading these.

You know, that list? The one for Evil Overlords, with advice like "Shooting is NEVER too good for my enemies". That's what this book is based upon- loosely. There are some stories that are gems amoung gems, that will have you laughing and remembering them for years. Others- are just fill.

Check out the authors and if there is one who is on your list of faves- try this book.

To be honest it could have been a little better, but some of the stories were highly entertaining.

If you have an anthology that has 10 of 14 average of worse stories I would think your standard Evil Overlord would do bad things to the publisher and the editor, and their families, and their cats.

In other words, this is bad. That leaves 4 decent stories, but no good ones, with not much of an intro, either, for something like this. Most of the decent stories featured an actual major character who was an evil overlord. Fancy that.
