About the Author

Michelle Slade is a confused Jew – albeit less confused about kosher dietary laws these days. Before writing this book, all she knew was that kosher people had lots of cutlery, didn’t eat cheeseburgers and never seemed to put sausages on the barbecue. She now knows a lot more.

I bought this for my 13 yr old granddaughter who has expressed a desire to eat kosher. No one in our family does so and we don't have enough knowledge of what it takes to keep a kosher home. This book is easy to read, witty, and shows all sides of the story. She has enough information now to make her decision although I do not know what that will be.
