This review is from: If This Isn't A Dream... (Audio CD)
Virulence is one of the most obscure SoCal hardcore bands from the late 80s. They were really just a bunch of high school kids who worshipped Bl'ast. They're actually still around today, sort of. You might know them better as Fu Manchu, though Scott Hill is now the only remaining member from the Virulence line up. Unfortunately, this album isn't particularly good. The songs themselves are loaded with potential, but the production is cripplingly, castratingly anemic. The drums take the worst hit... the snare drum sounds like someone hitting an empty Kleenex® box.
EDIT 1/19/10: This album was just re-released by Southern Lord and includes a bunch of bonus tracks, both live and unreleased studio stuff. Grab it while you have the chance.
