5.0 out of 5 stars If Tomorrow Comes
This is the book that started my love for Sidney Sheldon. I first read it about 10 years ago and make it a point to re-read it whenever I'm bored with other books. This book is great!! The minute you begin reading it you become absorbed in the main character's life. Tracy is a wonderfully strong, brilliant, sexy, and determined leading lady. You'll find yourself...

3.0 out of 5 stars The Shawshank Redemption & The Sting
I've read a few books by this author and have enjoyed them the same. It strongly reminds me of The Sting and The Shawshank Redemption, not that its a bad thing....just to give you an idea of what it can be best described with. Though it has a slow start, it picks up quite well. The plots, which are very cleverly devised, seem very simple without mentioning...

4.0 out of 5 stars I'll be coming back for more, April 19, 2001
This the first book by Sidney Sheldon that I have read and I will certainly be reading more. If Tomorrow Comes tells the tale of a woman scorned. Wrongfully sent to jail and left by her fiance.. Tracy decides to get even on her release. One by one she goes after the people who have wronged her. No longer the victim she comes to enjoy the thrill of the scam and goes off on an amazing life of crime. This story is an adventure so go along for the ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars The real page turner, September 8, 2004
By
This is my most favourite novel of Sidney Sheldon.Tracy Whitney , by far is Sheldon's most brave heroine of all his novels, who fights all suicidal situations of life. The reader's travel through tracy's situations is exciting and keeps the readers on the edge. The transformation of an ordinary working women into most intelligent and cunning burglar is quite interesting. And no one will ever forget Tracy Whitney after closing the book. A must for all Sheldon fans..!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tracy Whitney, master thief, November 23, 2004
Tracy Whitney, the heroine of this novel, is like all of Sidney Sheldon's leading ladies: She's young, beautiful, bright, and driven. Oh, she's also a professional criminal. The story opens as Tracy is wrongly convicted of attempted murder (well, OK; she DID shoot him!) and begins serving a harrowing prison term. After her surprising release, she plots revenge on all the people who have hurt her. This was my favorite part of the book. Tracy then becomes involved with a con-man and ends up as a world-famous thief, stealing treasures in the capitals of Europe. She also finds love with another thief, but can she trust him?

If you can overlook Tracy's criminal life and the joy she takes in it, you'll love this book. It describes in minute detail how she manages to steal from the most securely-guarded museums, stores, and homes in Europe. There is humor, too, as Tracy and her pal Jeff merrily bounce from caper to caper, outsmarting the authorities and narrowly escaping capture. Another great Sidney Sheldon page-turner!

You just want to find out what happens next. The description leaps off the page and suddenly you find yourself propelled into the world of Tracey Whitney, a world of near escapes, perfect timing, intrigue, passion, and last but not least, the hope for tomorrow. A brilliant creation and work of fiction. A plot that really stands out amongst the rest.

This review is from: If Tomorrow Comes (Hardcover)
This book is by far the best book Sidney Sheldon has written. The story line and character development is ingenious! I have and probably always will judge every book I read to If Tomorrow comes. I don't see how he thought this up. Excellent!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars It Doesn't Get Better Than This, September 27, 2000
By
Alicia Parrino (Staten Island, New York United States) - See all my reviews
Tracy Whitney is by far Sheldon's most exciting, witty and intriguing heroine. She had the comfortable, secure life she wanted until her mother commited suicide and she became determined to get revenge on the man she feels responsible for her mother's misery. From there her life falls apart with the blink of an eye. She loses all hope; but not for long. She, with a little help, transforms her entire being into a cunning burglar who will outsmart any person in her way. If you want to be impressed, read this genious thriller and you'll never put it down. Sheldon surpasses all other superior minds with this one- the best I've read so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book I've ever read., May 23, 2002
A friend recommended I read Sidney Sheldon and this was the first one I read. It is an amazing book. It had me up till 3am once just because I wanted to know what happened next. I couldn't put it down. The plot kept you interested the whole way through and the cons were so ingenious it had you thinking how did he ever think those up. I found myself willing the heroine not to get caught the whole way through. Over all this is a great book.
