Mark Farner is a great American singer/song writer/musician and deserves a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This album and any of his albums, solo and with Grand Funk Railroad, are always brilliant on a vocal level and instrumentally. Mark Farner is all about LOVE. The message in this CD is HIS and he wants to share it with his fans.

My hubby was a rock and roll drummer and Mark was one of his favorites, BC & AC (before Christ and after Christ for the both of them.) Now with the Lord, I wouldn't be surprised that he and Jesus are on the front row of every concert, and at every recording. Where the Spirit of the Lord is...there's liberty. Hope everyone who enjoyed the old Mark will listen to the New Mark. He gets better and better especially now that he has met the One who made him and loves to hear him sing. D.

We know that JESUS ROCKS and we know that Guitar-Minister Mark Farner ROCKS! When the two collaborate you get the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE flowing through a cool electric instrument guiding us to PEACE and SALVATION!!! Mark heard from the LORD when he wrote these awesome songs! Crank up the TRUTH and let Jesus set you FREE Indeed!This compilation is a JOY to listen to because the selection of songs is an excellent representation of the 3 Christian albums that blessed the world of CCM/Rockers. When a musician converts to Christianity, why does every song he composes have to be about religion? Other musos become Buddhists, Muslims, Catholics, etc and are able to continue their musical lives without proselytizing, why can't Mark Farner?It really limits the music's appeal, in fact I'd say this type of 'Christian music' has zero appeal for anyone but born-again Christians. Long live Grand Funk. |
