I heard a Wade Bowen song on Pandora and immediatly had to hear more. This is a great CD !! Reminds me of the Warren Bros. Not quite country, more on the old country/rock genre. Think Eagles. Highly recommend this CD and artist.

Wade Bowen is my fav. Texas Country singer for a reason, with incredable vocals and heartfelt lyrics, he shows that he knows exactly what country music is supposed to sound like.

Having purchased three of Wade Bowen's CD's in the past, I found this to be the best yet. Others here have basically called it what it is: Top Notch Bowen!!! His lyrics, the band....all of it.....is not only maturing, it's blossomed!!! Too bad the reviewer on iTunes didn't figure out this is a CD to listen to, straight through. Maybe no top 30 Country countdowns will play any single tracks from it, however, I am one who will buy it, and listen to it, over and over again, and enjoy every minute of it, as I have in the past.

Way to go, Wade! Classic stuff, man!!!

There's really not much more I can add to the reviews below. This is a fantastic album. Bowen is from my hometown, and I've always supported him, but it wasn't until this album that I felt like he was totally legit as a songwriter and a singer. There is diversity on this album that was missing on others. I don't love every song, but MOST of them had me hitting the repeat button at one time or another. And I DO absolutely love some of the songs...months down the road, I find myself pulling up this record in iTunes and getting lost again in it. And then, out of the blue, I hear Chris Knight's voice on "Daddy And The Devil," and it convinces me that this is in my top 20 albums of all time, and "all time" is a pretty long time with this music fan.

This guy has a wonderful voice and his own unique style, so far every person that has heard this CD at my home and in my car, has written his name down so they can get one.

This CD from Wade Bowen proves you don't have to be from TX .. to enjoy the music coming out from there.. it was top notch.. love his voice and song writing..

After tiring of the same old stuff on the radio I was looking for something new. Being from Texas, I was familiar with Wade Bowen but had never purchased any of his work. Rarely is there a CD that makes you want to hear every song over and over like this one does. There is not a bad song on here. I would highly reccommend this CD for anyone who loves the Texas country sound. You won't be disappointed.

Wade Bowen continues to astonish me with his very original songwriting abilities. He writes and sings about life, from the heart. I think he is one of the most creative artists in music today.

Wade is one of the best on the Texas country scene. His lyrics speak to you every time you push play. I have heard many of these songs at various shows across Texas. To hear You Had Me at My Best and Turn the Lights On live only gives these songs more life.

My selfish fear about others finding the hidden gem that is Wade Bowen is that the days of Greuene Hall and Cheatham Street shows may be harder and harder to come by.

WADE BOWEN IS PART OF A NEW REVOLUTION OF COUNTRY MUSIC IN THE LAND THAT ALWAYS KEEPS IT REAL, TEXAS COUNTRY. THOSE WHO LOVE TRADITION WITH A LITTLE ATTITUDE THROWN WILL LOVE WADE BOWEN. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO GO TO LONESTARMUSIC TO CHECK OUT OTHER GREAT TEXAS ARTISTS.
