3.0 out of 5 stars Great Plot but...
I really enjoyed this book. I felt like there was a lot of lose end at the end of the book. Like what become of Troy? You mean his ex just gave up like that. Women of color is not that simple. I can't believe Drake's parents didn't have a few choice words. The Romance was there but then as soon as they started they were over. However the plot was good the charters were...

I enjoyed reading this book......Satin is about to marry a guy that she doesnt have "that love" for ......so she decides that it is time for a change and time for her to start living her life her way......she moves , get a new job and meets a new guy....Drake....Drake has had his share of love drama about to marry and getting jilted he meets Satin once and cant seem to shake her ......and later when they meet again its on and popping ....they date and things are going good ....but of course there are always obstacles .....Satin has inherited some land along with all her other(female)cousins they want to sell and get some money she says no ......so she is constantly having to deal with the drama of family wanting her to join them in getting the money and selling the land ........this is a good book i wont spoil it for those who havent read it but i will say that you will find yourself holding your breath near the end ....plenty of surprises including Drakes ex the movie star...and Satins ex the scorned lover.......Good read!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Looking For More, August 17, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: If I Were Your Woman (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
"If I Were Your Woman" was ok but to me but it left too many loose ends. I know this is a Romance Novel but it seemed more like Mystery Novel one would have to come to his/her own conclusion. Although it had a good plot there were too many characters to keep up with. I wanted to know what happened to Drake's Ex, Satin's Ex, Satin's Great Aunt's ex, and so on. If you want a book that touches and goes on topics very briefly, then this is the book for you.

everyone inner voice seem to be the thing that held this couple togetherm it was good to read abut a female that inner voice was a true guiding light to work along with his inner doubt, but did enjoy the book, why did Troy show, why did disappear so quickly what happen to Drake's ex.
