5.0 out of 5 stars I Believe!
I saw Sasha on WorldBeat a couple months ago and they previewed this song during the interview. It's such a beautiful tune and one of the best love songs I've ever heard. This is one awesome track! I heard some other stuff from him that was pretty good too.

1.0 out of 5 stars WARNING! WARNING!
I picked this one up thinking that it was the Sasha of "Xpander" fame. Well, I was mistaken. What we have here is a "power ballad" (if you can call it that) by some cute boy. Absolutely useless and embarrassingly bad. Each mix sounds the same as the next, so what is the point of having a remix?

Anyways, this song is bound to make teenage girls...

After hearing this song on radio, I had to have the CD. I found it after a long search on THE HITS VOLUME 3 and used my last money just to buy it. This song really is good. I have the feeling that it must be the number one love song for this century. Pity I cannot find a album of SASHA. He sings stunningly!

This song is wonderful. When I hear this song I close my eyes and wonder off to an exhilarating romantic place. When people say that a picture is worth a 1,000 words, this song is worth a 1,000 memories.

4.0 out of 5 stars Believe me -this is fabulous!, May 1, 2000
This review is from: If You Believe (Audio CD)
OK forget everything that you have heard or read about this German teen hero Sasha (who is -I think we all understand this now, don't we- not the UK club DJ! ) and open your mind because this is absolutely fantastic! The original Backstreet Boys-type ballad is gone -remixed, reworked, replaced with this incredible US debut package. The Lenny Bertoldo edit is a slightly more uptempo version that introduces us to the man and the song. Then we get the mixes by Bobby D'Ambrosio and Wamdue Project that shoot us way up to the top floor and take this song to a whole new level! The Osio Club mix is the best thing D'Ambrosio has ever done -a gorgeous, David Morales-like journey with heavy, chunky beats, and light, seductive keyboards that tease underneath Sasha's cool vocals. The closing minutes are fantastic with a playful piano, Sasha's adlibs and the uplifting beats taking us to Peak Hour Heaven! If you adored the remixes of Marc Anthony's I Need To Know or Clapton's I Get Lost, then you'll LOVE this! It is so refreshing to hear a male pop vocal on the dancefloor. The Wamdue Club Mix stands also as the best thing the Project have done -way better than the epic mixes of the recent EBTG hit. A sublime, majestic remix with the club beats playing under dreamy percussion and the vocals (with a reworked chorus) floating over the top. I don't think I would play the original version over and over as much I do the remixes. That said, the song itself is simple yet easy to listen to with a catchy, seductive chorus and Sasha's vocals are superb. A classy debut that is well worth checking out. Congratulations, once again, to Reprise Records for providing the song-breaking, fabulous remixes!

A warning to all you trance fans out there. When I first got this song, I had never heard it. But knowing who Sasha was, I figuring that if he put out a single it must be pretty good, I bought it anyways. When i listened to it, my first reaction was "what is this tripe?" Believe me, this is not the same Sasha of Global Underground fame, or from the famous Northern Exposure cds with John Digweed. At least, it doesn't sound like Sasha. The once hero of trance and house has apparently turned pop. Or maybe not. I'm just a little confused. Anyways, the song itself is actually one of the better romantic songs I've heard. However, I will be putting it under my "Music for when my girl is over" collection rather then my trance collection. Imagine playing this along with a set from Oakenfold. Go figrue...

5.0 out of 5 stars his best song so far, January 14, 2004
By
This review is from: If You Believe (Audio CD)
He's one of the most famous German pop singers and often compared to George Michael. While his singles are usually pretty good, the rest of his albums is most often ok but not as good as you would expect. He started his career as the backing singer of Young Deenay and currently uses the stagename Dick Brave. One wonders if he tries to distance himself from his "Sasha"-releases by now. US people also know him as "Sasha Alexander"----"If you believe" was his biggest hit so far and is by far his best song. That song really could have brought him international fame

5.0 out of 5 stars Wait until the full album is available, June 21, 2000
This review is from: If You Believe (Audio CD)
This is taken from the album "Dedicated to..." it was his debut album and has been out in Germany for a few years. He has, from what I understand, taken Europe by storm (won many newcomer awards) and is about to make his debut in the US, according to the billboard website his full album is set to be released on July 11th, however they have him listed as Sasha Alexander and in Germany he was only known as Sasha. Possibly, this is the reason for the mixup with this Sasha and the DJ Sasha? I was stationed in Germany from the Summer of '98 until a few weeks ago and he had just released his second album titled "...you". Staying on track, the first album features the single "If you believe". I have been telling all of my friends here in the US who enjoy top 40 about him for well over a year and I was told that he had released another song over here.. "I feel lonely" don't know if this is true or not, however I fell in love with the first album immediately and the second one is growing on me fast. If he gets the airplay he deserves he will definitely be a hit here in the U.S. If you have heard this song and like his sound then definitely buy the album "Dedicated to..." PS Wait until you hear the last song on the album "We can leave the world behind" TOTALLY blows away "If you believe". PSS He has a website in German and English: it has real audio clips from all of his hits from Germany as well as the full length song and video when you click on the different video selections from the album "Dedicated to..."
