Very good quality unbleached coffee filters. Can't see any reason to buy any other brand.

A coffee filter is something that is used continually. To be able to buy them in bulk is a large advantage. The question would be, are they adequate and comparable to those I buy at 40 per box, every week or so, at the grocery store. These are certainly adequate. They are firm, easy to separate and conveniently packaged in cardboard boxes of 100. They lack the little round tab but are sturdy enough that the tab is not missed. I am very pleased.

I've struggled to get a good cup of coffee out of these. They clog, they break, they generally make the process of making a cup of coffee arduous.

I've been using melitta coffee filters until I bought a box of these filters, and never had a problem with them. I will go back to Melitta and might not even finish using one box of these.

I won't run out of coffee filters for at least a few years now, and I got them at a great price. No worse than the ones you pay a nickel apiece for at the supermarket, and probably better because they aren't bleached.

The brand name of these coffee filters is appropriate as I feel guilty buying any kind of bleached, paper product. I bought the 12-pack box sight unseen for that reason. They may last the rest of my life! Construction wise: these filters are as durable as other, better known brands and the comparative cost savings (in bulk) was further incentive to buy. But I am a coffee loving type who grinds his own beans every morning, so I did an after-the-fact, unscientific taste test. Of course, this is subjective; but in my test between these and left-over #2 Melitta filters: the Melitta's get a slight edge. Their porous design (in my opinion) allows more natural oils to seep through. That's the only reason I give 'If You Care' filters four stars instead of five. Next I'll try different coffees with more natural oils to determine if my taste buds aren't deceiving me. I don't regret my purchase though. The guilt is gone.

Yes, this is a large lot of filters, but I doubt they'll biodegrade by the time I exhaust my supply. They seem a bit "shorter" in the coffee maker's ground holder, but that does not seem to affect anything. I was buying another brand of similar type, e.g. unbleached, etc., but the deal that these offer was unbeatable. I've been using these for several weeks now w/out any issue. They are definitely put together well. Never had any issue of them breaking apart or other odd anomalies.

I used Mellita filters for several years until I got a batch that were slightly thinner than normal. I asked Melitta if they changed materials and get said no. But they didn't work; I had to double them to keep them from breaking.

These filters are strong and do a good job. I've now used about 250 and have had no issues at all. I recommend them, especially if you use a No. 6 dripper as I do.

I used to buy this brand all the time... until they made the crimp so HUGE that they no longer go to the top of the plastic brewing cup (the filter should extend above the top). The actual crimp area seemed to triple and there was NO REASON for it... aside from making a large part of the filter unusable.
