do not download this version. It is a much later live recording, and it's not very good. I loved this song when it first came out, but this is a terrible concert version. I couldn't listen to the whole thing. I've already deleted it from my iTunes.

I read the other reviews and wouldn't have written this one if it weren't for the fact that I so disagree with the couple of negative reviews I read. Yes, this is a live track, and thus doesn't have the polished sound of a studio track. The vocals are more of the live variety, but the keyboards (one of the things I always loved about OMD) sound great. If you really liked the original, I think you'll like this one, too.

Good song when first released. They don't have it in them. Bad recording, makes you want to listen to the original and forget you ever heard this mess.

This is just one of those great classic songs. Anyone who lived through the '80s will remember it well...and those too young to remember it will find themselves instantly taken with the song. That would be why it's a classic! And free?? Come on!

The song is a classic, and especially with Amazon giving this away for free, it is well worth it. This live version actually sounds very similar to the original. The main differences are a little crowd noise, an older sounding vocal and the lack of "polish" and a slightly more raw, unpolished recording. I tend to go back and forth on which version I prefer, however both have their merits, and this live version is a keeper. If you abosolutely want the original one, Amazon has it available on The OMD Singles.

Yes it's live, but it's free. You can always delete it if you don't like it.

Listen to the sample download first. You can hear the strangest laugh in the middle of one of the singer's notes. Odd. And made me dismiss this version right away. The original is fantastic, this one is self-indulgent rubbish.

Live versions never sound like the studio version, but they have a charm all their own, and I like this one. Their keyboards still sound good, while the whole flavor is more acoustic. Not bad for a freebie, thanks Amazon.

I was so excited when I saw this song for free. Then I listened to it. Maybe they just picked the worst 30 seconds to clip. Ugh.

I downloaded this as a freebie, but was unhappy with the performance. I guess if you're at the concert, that being there rounds out or compensates for what the band sounds like outside of the studio and without production. Go for the original song, if you can.
