5.0 out of 5 stars Good Cross over album
If You Love Me, Let Me Know is thirty minutes and eight seconds long and was released in May of 1974. If You Love Me, Let Me Know reached #1 in both the U.S. Billboard 200 Album and the U.S. Country Album chart and went Gold. Though the album has mostly a country\western sound to it, there are some songs that are easy listen as well. Olivia Newton-John has an excellent...

I bought this new in 1974 or so and liked it. It had groove damage from a cheap record player, so I wanted to replace it. This time I had a high end turntable and cartridge. I wanted to transfer the audio to CD because the album didn't seem to be released in CD format. What I noticed is that the album sounded like it mastered from a 5th generation tape. The sound is dull and lifeless for the most part. The sound quality varies from song to song, and the eq seems to shift sometimes DURING the song. Track 2 immediately comes to mind. All rather pointless for a 30+ year old recording, tho. It just means I have to work harder to correct the deficiencies in the computer. I hope she releases this for MP3 download like she did for most of her other early recordings.

When I got these albums I did not know she was a country artist. If You Love Me, Let Me Know is a great album and I am giving it an AAA+++.
