Better than what I've heard on the first album,
By A Customer
This review is from: If You're Gone (Audio CD)
Mind you, I've not really been a fan of Matchbox 20. The material from their first album sounded too much like the 2-4 chord College Alterna-pop that I've heard for the last 10+ years. However, songs like "If You're Gone" and "Bent" are a refreshing change of scene in an otherwise bland radio market. Some fans don't like "If You're Gone" because it sounds like Chicago. Well, I like "If You're Gone" and I like Chicago. When is the last time you heard anyone take an artistic chance on horns (besides Dave Matthews)?

This song is one of my fave's on the album. This is the one song that explains my life 4 mins and 34 seconds. This whole band has something that no other band has. Its an awesome band and an awesome song.

Matchbox Twenty has did it again!,
By "mb20lawyer" (Freeburg, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: If You're Gone / Bent / Back to Good (Audio CD)
Matchbox Twenty has did it again by creating another top hit. If you haven't already purchased "mad season by matchbox twenty", you should. If you've already bought "mad season" you should buy this EP anyway because it has 2 great live songs. One is "Bent" which was recorded at the Experience the Music Project in Seattle. The other is "Back 2 good" live which was recorded in Australia. Rob Thomas has an unbelievable talent of creating songs personal to him, yet universal enough to relate to everyone and transcend generations. There is also the amazing music behind Rob's words by guitarists Adam Gaynor and Kyle Cook; drums by Paul Doucette; and bass guitar by Brian Yale. Combine all this talent with a few horns and matchbox twenty has the classic rock sound you would hear from such artists as Chicago. GO GET THIS SINGLE!

"If your gone" is great, and I have to give Rob Thomas alot of credit for singing this kind of whimpy song, but there's alot more better cuts from "Mad Season." "Angry,Crutch," and my favorite,You won't be mine."

this single includes 3 best singles. Live Version of Back 2 good and push can make you satisfy. 'If You're gone' is the great follow-up ever. they can make platinum with this single, if they are released single in US. you must buy it, if you like this song when you met matchbox twenty with this song at first time.

What's Details if Youth Advisors don't Have Them?,
By A Customer
This review is from: If You're Gone / Bent / Back to Good (Audio CD)
More Specific Details of Import From & Track Detailed Info (if one track is it explicit Parental Advisory) or what is the nature of the Audience vs. Band. Parental Advisors manifest their online experience to preserve their childs safety, if details are omitted, their time is a waste, they pay for illegal manipulation of details thats unknown them until they acquire a CD. Dependance is then on other critical analysis of customers and then they don't fully explain what is on the CD Album being sold as is in fact without details. Laws preserve Customer Safety, not made to preserve the business selling the thang. If theres some objectionable matter seperate everything and stop using a image to define RATING, copy makes (empty) paste and extra line, if out of stock would details matter then to a poking youngster or the parent advising the youngster about what is on a webpage? I guess you think everyone is a universal Explicit Language so you don't detail track info as best that you could. You OK with that, foreigners of America have a language not compliant to Americanized Characterization?
