Product Description

Sometimes you need to keep things cool for the duration, and when most coolers will warm up, MaxCold will keep going for days. Five days, to be specific, is how long ice will last, even at temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. THAT, is insulation. This is enabled by Ultratherm insulated body, a pressure-fit lid, and a drip-resistant, angled spigot. Reinforced handles can handle being banged around, and an attached bracket allows a cup dispenser to be affixed. And when you aren't in the process of pouring yourself a refreshing, cool beverage, use it as a seat. This is the ideal cooler for the long-haul.

Keeps things ice cold.

Iʻm frustrated that the lid gets loose so easily and that Igloo has not developed a way for the lid to be tied down.

I ordered this cooler to use during the Thanksgiving holiday. I hosted our family dinner gathering and made 5 gallons of lemonaid to go along with the feast I'd prepared. Ease of use is definitely a plus! No leakage noted from the spout.

To cut down on time I made the lemonaid a day before and also put the ice in the container and to my surprise the remaining beverage did remain cold for days after. I am so pleased with my Igoo MaxCold 5 gal. beverage cooler and the quality of this product.

Bought this cooler as a "Mash Tun" for homebrewing. It works well, keeping the Mash heated for the entire hour I left it in there. The Mash dropped about 4 degrees within that hour, however, I believe that could've been because I left the lid off too long before sealing it up.

My only 'complaint' would be that the spigot is a bit high, so I had a good amount of liquids just sitting at the bottom....this was easily solved by flipping the cooler upside down haha so yeah, not a big deal. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone interested in homebrewing and needing a Mash Tun.

I wanted a drink cooler that was built to last and to keep drinks COLD, not just cool.

Things I like about these:
- Many other drink coolers can't be sat on - this can be sat on. (kids will sit on them).
- Many don't have an insulated lid - this does.
- This has thick walls for good insulation.

We put ice water or sports drink with ice in these and there is still ice after several days in 90+ degree weather.

They work as advertised.

It would be nice if they came in different colors where you could use different colors to indicate what is in them.
The lid is a tight fit, but it isn't gasketed so if it falls over some liquid will leak out. The lid is a press fit into the body, not screwed on. I like the press fit since it is easier to clean that than to clean out the threads of the lid.

We have had these since June 2011.

Cooler works great and does not leak. I am using it to soak grains to make beer. It keeps the water/grains hot for the entire hour. Would recommend.

We bought one several years ago and used it at my son's baseball tournament. We can put ice with water or a sports drink in it and leave it for days. We brought it home at night and I even left it in my garage one night in July and the next morning you could hear the ice knocking around. Of course in the south, we never had drink left after 3 days even in the fall so I haven't tested often for the full 5 days. We also took it to Disneyworld and left it in the back of our SUV and each night we would stick more drinks in it to cool off for the next day. That saved us a lot of money. We finally got more ice on the 4th day. A lot of ice had melted but water was still cold and outside temp was in high 80s. I also like the design; it's not too bulky for women to carry and the handles are sturdy (I can carry with one hand if I need to) and it doesn't take up a lot of bench space in the dugout.

Just returned from a mission trip to Haiti where the temperature is between 90 & 100 every day. We have used many coolers in the past and the ice didn't last. We were very impressed with this cooler as it kept our drinks cold for days. The whole team traveling agreed we would recommend this cooler.

I love how long this product maintains ice! However, the spigot drips... a lot and we have to place a cup underneath it, along with a rag to catch the drip! That is the one downside!

On the first one, the lid blew off on the Interstate and it got run over by a truck. Even so, it lasted a good long time and we only got rid of it because the lid got worse. This one seems exactly the same, so it should be good. We load it to the top with ice and don't fill with water until we get to our camp. Stays cold 2-3 days, depending on how often you add new water and how cold the water is, of course.
