Indeed, Karges revealed some of the mind tricks from his stage performances and the thought and psychology that goes into them is amazing. Beyond this, however, is the real value of the book. In my quest to discover Karges' secrets, I found myself accompolishing incredible things. Taking his concepts and adapting them to everyday life (and he shows you how) has caused me to grow as a person and become more successful."

5.0 out of 5 stars Open your mind and be amazed!, August 19, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Ignite Your Intuition: Improve Your Memory, Make Better Decisions, Be More Creative and Achieve Your Full Potential (Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book. It opened my mind to many possibilities. While the title of the book focuses on intuition, the book itself covers so much more. The first chapter was all about the physical brain. It is really amazing what we are capable of and this chapter reminded me of the awesome power each of us has inside our brain. By the time I finished the chapter on memory, I was doing amazing things with my own memory, things I wouldn't have thought possible. I have alsways considered myself fairly intuitive and the chapters on intuition helped me to realize how important a role intuition plays in my life. These chapters also gave me the tools to develop my intuitive abilities in fun ways. "The Intuitive Pendulum" chapter was particularly interesting. By using the pendulum, you can "see" your intuition at work. It is a physical measurement of what your intuition is trying to tell you. The chapter on dreams was interesting as well. I agree with the author that dreams can hold incredible insights into your life. Learning how to interpret your dream images is the key to realizing what your dream life is trying to reveal to you. A real benefit to me was the chapter on programming your mind via affirmations and such. This really gives you a road map to create exactly the life you want to live. The later chapters on psychic ability and psi functioning really cause you to think. Some of the concepts were pretty far out but the author doesn't ask you to believe in anything. Just to experiment and open your mind. I did and I was amazed. I had to laugh at the subtitle of the book - "Improve Your Memory, Make Better Decisions, Be More Creative and Achieve Your Full Potential". How could anyone teach you how to do all that in 200 pages? Well, after reading the book, I think the subtitle is accurate.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Guide To The Mind, June 28, 2001

Craig Karges obviously knows his stuff. He has a great knack for making things understandable and useable.

The entire book is great reading, however, I would like to comment that his section on self-hypnosis and the "quiet mind" is amongst the very best I have ever read on the topic. His tips on how to record a self hypnosis tape are fantastic.

My only negative comment about the book is that it's too short. Not content wise, it's just that time flys when you read it, and I hope that he comes out with another soon...perhaps with more experiments with the mind.

Overall: A great book.

A must read book for someone who wants to move on and not get stuck in indecision process. When standing between a fork in the road and between two seemingly promising things in life, one has to make a decision. This book will help you with practical techniques to see the future in advance and make decision as if you knew the future rather than guessing what the future holds for you. When you have finished reading this book, you will know what it is to be the creator of your destiny. Truly outstanding book.

3.0 out of 5 stars A lightweight introduction, June 6, 2002

The key word in this book title is "Ignite". If you have never tried to use your intuition or studied the subject before, then this book will probably get you started. On the other hand, if you have made a start, then what this book has to offer is quite limited.

It is rather like a greatest hits album, it gives a good taster for the novice, but lacks the depth and spirit of the original albums.

Here's what the book touches upon: exercises to enhance your senses, basic memory techniques to help you remember a number of things and put them in order, a discussion and self-test of your intuitive capacity, the benefits of a relaxed or quiet mind and 6 scripts for relaxation, how to make and use your own intuitive pendulum, the power of affirmations, interpreting your dreams, a discussion and suggested tests for clairvoyance, telepathy and precognition, and finally a series of "mind games" to test and improve your abilities.

If any of these areas are new and of interest, Ignite Your Intuition may be a starting point for you.

In the book's favour, although it lacks depth, it has a wide scope and may well touch on things you haven't previously encountered. For me the main value of the book was the intuitive pendulum, a subject I had not really studied before. The book does have one quite unique use for the intuitive pendulum: a way of working with your subconscious for the purpose of setting goals and using affirmations. For this subject alone, I was glad that I had persevered with the book.

I also found the upbeat style of Craig Karges' writing enjoyable and encouraging.

In conclusion, if any of the above subjects are of definite interest to you, you will probably find them covered in greater depth elsewhere. If you are looking for a lightweight, general introduction, then Ignite Your Intuition may be the "taster" you are looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars I predict you'll love it!, December 22, 2003

This review is from: Ignite Your Intuition: Improve Your Memory, Make Better Decisions, Be More Creative and Achieve Your Full Potential (Paperback)
Ignite Your Intuition delivers education and motivation in one tidy package! The book allows you to take a tour of your own mind and to expand your untapped mental abilities. Abilities you may already be aware of and some that you've probably never even considered the possibility of.

You start with memory. We all have one - some are much better at remembering things than others. However, whatever your natural abilities are you can increase them to an amazing degree and the book shows you how.

From memory, the book goes into the concept of intuition. There is no ambiguity here, very little new age verbiage. Just sound practical advice and a rational and scientific approach to what intuition is and just how it works. You get the opportunity to test your own intuitive abilities and then are given fun and entertaining excercises to help you perfect your intuitive "powers" so that you can make better decisions and become more effective in your life. As the book points out - your life is a result of the decisions you make and you owe it to yourself to use your whole mind in your decision making process not just your analytical mind.

The book spends some time with the "pendulum." Truly a fascinating device for tapping into your intuition. It amazes me to this day! Not Ouija board spookiness but a scientific way of measuring and revealing what your intuitive mind has to say.

Then things start to get stranger ... the book takes you into the world of the paranormal, ESP, anomalous perception and the psychic realm. The book doesn't ask you to believe, only to experiment and then decide for yourself. I like this approach. The book isn't telling you what to believe in but rather it allows you to make up your own mind via experience. Many areas are explored. Some I have a natural affinity for, others I don't. The variety of talents explored should guarantee that you find some area that you can excel in. This section is filled with fun exercises as well.

Speaking of fun, the last chapter is all about combining your new found talents with fun games. As you have fun playing these games (you will be amazed ... you will be amused!!) you are also strengthening your intuitive and ESP abilities.

The book also contains a 4 page suggested reading list which will show you where to go next.

Written in an encouraging, upbeat and conversational style, I predict you will love Ignite Your Intuition!

5.0 out of 5 stars A RARE FIND, December 15, 2003

This review is from: Ignite Your Intuition: Improve Your Memory, Make Better Decisions, Be More Creative and Achieve Your Full Potential (Paperback)
I was given Ignite Your Intuition as a gift, and what a great gift it was. In fact, I purchased it for my boss and from that point, the giving of this book was like a chain reaction. He enjoyed the book so tremendously, that he purchased it for his entire wedding party, and according to him, many of them purchased it for their friends and family. His words, "It was the perfect gift." Now, I have decided this book is the perfect gift for my brother-in-law for Christmas, so I'm ordering a copy for him. I've always been interested in the idea of intuition,
but so many of the books I tried to read were so hard to get through. In all honesty, Ignite Your Intuition is the first book of this type I've been able to read cover to cover. It made sense to both my rational mind and my intuitive mind. The author's writing is clear, upbeat and encouraging. The exercises provided were fun to do, easy to understand and effective. I can't recommend this book enough to people who are interested in developing their minds from memory to intuition to the paranormal, it's all here. Furthermore, Karges includes a four page suggested reading list, which I found extremely valuable. An inexpensive book that provides so much information in such an enjoying writing style is a rare find indeed!

The book was an interesting, thought provoking challenge to more than one aspect of the human condition. It helped explain memory, ESP, and the subconscious. The information is well written and reading it is a fun experience. I would encourage anyone with any interest in this area, or just curiosity, for that matter, to read this mind expanding and entertaining book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mind expanding!, April 25, 2006
This review is from: Ignite Your Intuition: Improve Your Memory, Make Better Decisions, Be More Creative and Achieve Your Full Potential (Paperback)
I guess some people are attracted to this book from the standpoint of learning secrets and gaining power. Ignite Your Intuition does that but in a most surprising way.

The book's most valuable aspect to me is the revelation that you can design the life you want to live, that your mind can attract the things you want in life and that you can program your very own supercomputer (your brain) for success. Intuition and your subconscious mind can make your dreams your reality and this book shows you how.

The writing is so encouraging and the subject matter so interesting that I found it hard to put down. I finished it in no time and put the techniques to work right away to amazing results in both my business and my personal life.

Each chapter begins with a famous (or not quite so famous but no less profound) quote. I oftentimes open the book to a chapter and just reflect on the quote presented.

The book is filled with real life accounts of people who used their intuitive minds in amazing ways. These people run the gamut from pragmatic scientists to crafty businessmen to lofty artists. All the stories are inspiring.

The book touches on many subjects including the power of the brain, dream interpretation, intuition, memory and the paranormal. I can't imagine anyone not getting something from this book and at such a low price! What is there not to like?
