4.0 out of 5 stars A conversation with a point
Unlike the first two reviewers, I enjoyed the use of conversation to make the authors' points. They were obviously working from an outline and they did offer valuable information. I particularly found Dr. Schulz interesting because I have friends who speak, act and think as she does- hyperactively. I felt like I was finally getting a true understanding of their reality...

2.0 out of 5 stars disorganized and rambling
This CD set presents interesting material, however while Christiane Northrup seems to have a plan, Mona Lisa Schultz just likes to tell anecdotes and babble on. Most of the time, her stories are just so out of left field, they distract from the subject at hand rather than contributing to it. (My husband even called her a wacko because of some of the odd conclusions she...

Unlike the first two reviewers, I enjoyed the use of conversation to make the authors' points. They were obviously working from an outline and they did offer valuable information. I particularly found Dr. Schulz interesting because I have friends who speak, act and think as she does- hyperactively. I felt like I was finally getting a true understanding of their reality. Also, Dr. Northrup and Dr. Schulz, helped me to understand better how our illnesses, rather than being horrors, can be catalysts for healing. Finally, Northrup's description of the creative process a a birthing process that starts at the seventh chakra and ends at the first was, for me, an innovative and powerful idea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Professional victims, do not listen, October 17, 2007
This review is from: Igniting Intuition (Audio CD)
Professional victims and elitist scholars do not listen to the work of
these two pioneering women. But if you have a chronic illness like I do
(multiple sclerosis) or if you are a health care professional (RN)
then you need to INHALE the work of these two women because someday you
are going to be hearing Dr. Oz talk like this on Oprah and think it is
new stuff...You need this and "Intuitive Listening" and "The New Feminine
Brain" and the book on menopause. Ladies, wake up. It is the 21st century and we are in charge of our lives and our health and happiness.
Don't shut down that marvelous right brain of yours!!! USE IT>GREAT STUFF

2.0 out of 5 stars disorganized and rambling, July 17, 2006
This review is from: Igniting Intuition (Audio CD)
This CD set presents interesting material, however while Christiane Northrup seems to have a plan, Mona Lisa Schultz just likes to tell anecdotes and babble on. Most of the time, her stories are just so out of left field, they distract from the subject at hand rather than contributing to it. (My husband even called her a wacko because of some of the odd conclusions she jumps to.) Several times in the course of their dialogue, Christiane Northrup makes reference to Caroline Myss (whose work I am also familiar with), and I feel that anyone new to the subject of intuition and how biological health is so intimately related to emotional and spiritual health would be better served to start their course of independent study with one of Caroline Myss' works rather than this one. This CD set sort of assumes prior experience with Myss' teachings, anyway. It's a shame because Christiane Northrup has some very interesting things to say, but you easily get distracted from what she is saying by one of Mona Lisa Schultz's stories, and that happens time and time again throughout the course of all six CDs. What a shame!

4.0 out of 5 stars Making Intuition a Friend, January 9, 2008
This review is from: Igniting Intuition (Audio CD)
I find Dr. Mona Lisa Schultz to be a brilliant, yet down to earth Clinician. I find her insights to be extremely valuable. I believe actual life experiences to be a plus factor.
I am aware that Dr.Northrup and Dr. Schultz to be friends as well as colleagues. However I find more substance with Dr. Schultz, and I feel a tape by Dr. Schultz in which she presents alone would have a higher probability of reaching the target.
I find entirely too many interruptions by Dr. Northrup, yet some of her comments are helpful, but I feel some are non-sensical and are said to feel included. I do appreciate some comments.
I feel Intuition is a God's highest communication with us. I do believe we need to refine this very vabuable tool to use. Both presenters are very accomplished, and I hope they remain friends and appreciate their talents. However, I would much prefer it if Dr. Schultz would present alone and with an insightful, organized, and connected coherent tape of which she is more than capable. She writes like a dream and is brilliant, I feel.

1.0 out of 5 stars Igniting Intuition, December 13, 2007
This review is from: Igniting Intuition (Audio CD)
I can't believe I spent money on this nonsense I'm very disappointed in my purchase. Christine and Lisa pretty much sat around and story swap(very boring). Worse, I couldn't even get thru CD 2 because the amount of male bashing these two women were doing made me sick to my stomach. Don't waste your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars unclear steps, March 1, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Igniting Intuition (Audio CD)
This is basically two women talking, sometimes interrupting each other. They are so into telling their own personal stories and the stories of their patients that it is very difficult to pick out the steps they are recommending for self-improvement.
