I'm not very familiar with the original "Ignition", but it pales in comparison to its successor, the ubiquitous "Ignition (Remix)". The only equal analogy to this that I can think of would be how The Dark Night surpasses the original Batman Begins. Or... more analogous, Civilization/Warcraft/SimCity versus II/II/2000. Now that feels right.
Once you hear the intro of "Now, um, usually I dont do this but uh....Go head' on and break em off wit a lil' preview of the remix...." you know you're in for a treat. Pump the volume, pump it up. Quick tangent - Kellz- you didn't just give us a "lil preview of the remix", unless this is part of some bigger opus that is coming. Oh lord, I can only hope. Please?
This is the song of a generation, and not much more needs to be said on this subject. If you wanna see white people dance, well we dance to this.
Favorite numerical breakdowns, if I had to only choose three:
1) Number of Brands dropped = 5 - Lexus, Coca-cola, Crystal, Lincoln Navigator, Jeep. Pretty Average for an R. Kelly joint
2) Places he is freaking = 1 - Back of truck - hard to determine on first listen, but this is way less than you may have thought. Possibly 1.5 if you include the hotel room, which he aspires to get to after 4.
3) Euphemisms for pleasurable experience = Immeasurable. R. Kelly drops similes wrapped within metaphors inside of analogies.
WHY IS THIS ONLY $0.69 (sixty nine, awesome)?!??! Criminally under-priced. This is a once-in-a-lifetime jam. So what, it's the freaking weekend...

I think this will be one of those songs that you will hear in the future and smile back on the memories it evokes. Light, happy hip-hop is the best way to describe it, or perhaps that innocent hip-hop-to-rap era comes to mind. Its a happy, fun, dance to song and the quality of the recording is of course outstanding.
