5.0 out of 5 stars Intelligent hardcore?, February 13, 2001

Though this disk will frighten anyone who dosen't listen to a lot of hard-core (the furious yelling and machine-gun pace may overwhelm), it's both one of the hardest, fastest and strangely enough, smartest albums I've heard.

Though you can't understand a word of them, Raised Fist's lyrics are actually pretty introspective.

The music is about the hardest thing ever. From the opening chord, Raised Fist is one of the most extreme punk bands out there.

A high reccomendation for anyone who likes punk or wants to see hardcore as a distinctive art form.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great power, great energy, cool riffs, July 28, 2005

I must say, I'm not much of a punk rock fan, let alone a modern rock fan.(although I'm starting to get back into it)

But what after seeing what I consider one of my favorite music videos of all time for "Breaking Me Up," I must say, this band RULES. This is part of the reason why in terms of punk music, I always lean toward the Swedish side. While Raised Fist is hard, unlike much American hard rock I've heard, there's sweet (but sometimes repitive) melody along with that anger. I recommend this for any fan of punk rock in general.

Standing inside a circle blindfolded waving your Arms and legs around wildly in the air to the tune of some Massive tattooed guy with no teeth screaming at you to be more angry.Do you find that act as laughable as i do?If so you are in luck Yes this is hardcore, but no its not American. This is swedish hardcore and it kicks serious ass.Harsh metal style vocals,Heavy as all hell riffs,Killer melodies. But this album isnt just for hardcore fans,Its heavy enough to appeal to metal fans,Has enough Punk rock energy to keep punk rockers happy/angry.If you are looking for hardcore that isnt your typical/Laughable Hatebreed sounding band check this out.If you like it id also suggest you try out The now defunct REFUSED or the band NINE both just as awesome as Raised Fist.

The Best The Best The Best.... Hardcore Album Ever. More punk edge than when they entered the scene as a metal band, but still with metal style. Raised fist even adds talented rhyming and this makes it very interesting. I never ever get sick of listening to this cd, its amazing. Breaking me Up is probably one of thier best on here, then again every song on here is the best. Buy This Album.

i've been listening to these guys for a couple years now and i just got around to review them. anyone that considers themselve a hardcore kid needs to have this in their collection. they have the speed, the lyrics, and the heart to write the best speed/thrash/punk music around. they even have a grind influenced song. big release of energy. trust me on this one kids.

This band is from my hometown here in Sweden and I think this is one of the best HC cd:s you can get. Other swedish bands that rock is: 59 times the pain(old stuff), Within Reach(very good HC), Misconduct(fast HC), Purusam, Outlast(LKPGHC), NINE, Breach and Refused. Enjoy.

Hey - I LOVE this band, the best ever! I heard this cd and bought it right away. I loved it so much I bought all their other ablums (had to import them!!). An amazing band! There is a reason they are on the same label as Refused. I wish that they would choose to tour here in the states. I bet they are awsome live. I am addicted to this band I can not get enough. I listen to their cd over and over and I NEVER do that!!! The cords and the pace just seems to connect with the soul - something most modern music doesn't do. The noise is thick and melodic with tons of layers. This is the band that all bands should strive to be. A must buy - it will change your life!
