The rousing complement to a film all ages can enjoy,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Igor (Hardcover)
Igor: The Movie Storybook is the picturebook adaptation of the family-friendly CGI movie Igor, which dares to play around with the venerable mad scientist/hunchbacked assistant trope! Set in the perpetually overcast kingdom of Malaria, where evil is good and good is bad, evil scientists from all over are gathering for the annual Evil Science Fair. The natural lot of Igors is to serve their malevolent masters, but one Igor as dreams of becoming something more. He successfully brings to life a monster with one flaw - his creation Eva isn't evil at all, but rather an aspiring actress! With help from his friends Scamper the undying rabbit, and Brain, the low-IQ brain-in-a-jar, Igor must teach Eva to be a properly horrific evil monster. Movie-quality computer animation stills illustrate this rousing complement to a film all ages can enjoy. Highly recommended, particularly for young people who enjoyed the Igor movie!
