A beloved tool,

Sometimes it helps to have a book that is a tool for the creative part of our minds. This book is such a tool, as are all the books in this series. We get to see a piece of Ikat cloth and then we have a disk of Ikat images to use in our design work. It is so simple, but sometimes the simple is overlooked. This book is easy to use, easy to get inspiration from in the selection of cloth, and easy to get the benefit from by having a disk of the art. One, two, three. Check out all of this series, they are excellent.

I like the Ikat patterns in this book, although not many ikat patterns in this book but good source to inspire me.

The pictures of the various Ikat patterns are good, however, I expected directions for tying the patterns. There are no Ikat directions in the book. I think there should be clarification on the cover of this fact as "patterns" to me means directions for making the Ikat designs. If not on the cover, Amazon should have a description of the contents.
