This DVD's raison d'etre is likely explained by the fact that there are only a handful of filmed performances of Ike and Tina Turner's '60s years, and these rare clips of Tina and Ike and company performing four of their certifiable classics on German television should please stolid fans. But while the performances of "Proud Mary" and "River Deep Mountain High" prove a valuable and mesmerizing record of the electrifying performances Ms. Turner and her requisite backup singers could pull off, the DVD as a whole is an awkward collection of odds and ends from roughly the same time period. A section titled Video Jukebox is included to help round off the content, with performances by all sorts of bands, including Big Country and Edgar Winter, grouped by no apparent theme. The "EP" in the title is as good a hint as any that buyers should get this DVD for the four performances alone; don't be misled by the description of the collection promised on the DVD. --Karl Wachter

This video only has four different songs of Ike and Tina. They were good but I think the whole DVD should have been of them since the Title is Ike and Tina Turner. If you want an excellent DVD that will make you bounce and is nothing but Tina, I strongly suggest Tina Turner One Last Time Live In Concert. I Rate that DVD 25 stars!

Releasing old Tina Turner Collection in DTS Sound on DVD is an excellent idea. I beleive that all Tina fans are dreaming of having Tina Turner Complete Video Collection in DTS Sound on DVD one day since the one released (Simply the Best DVD)has a very poor sound quality. But it's too disappointing that they have decided to include only four Tina & Ike stuff to this DVD and add other artists...Still great opportunity for Tina fans to get super sounding Tina songs on DVD!
