I liked the idea of the slats for the bed but I have always found that some Ikea products are not exactly the size most items are....they are slightly off. Unfortunately I can't adjust the bed frame to make the slats fit. I do like the idea of the slats but would prefer the slats were not two separate pieces.

These slats are a big waste of money. They move around constantly. My boyfriend saw the price and said- OMG you should have bought some plywood at home depot for like ten bucks. I wish I would have known. Don't buy.

My husband and I left Ikea not knowing we were supposed to purchase this with the bed. After we figured it out and decided to order it off Amazon instead of driving all the way back out to Ikea- we discovered it was crap. Broke within a week. I'm positive it is because the product is not well made, as I seen and heard from other customers, and not the seller.

I used to be a fan of Ikea, but will never shop there again after having an absolutely horrendous experience with Ikea online and their contracting assembly company, Urban Express. Ordered a bed frame and slats online. Slats came without the hardware. Person assembling my bed told in confidence that he used to work in Ikea and this happens all the time. Called Ikea and was told that I needed to go to local store to get parts or wait a week to get parts from Sweden. I asked for a store credit or discount. They said they couldn't give that to me, that I would have to go to the store.

Since they had already taken my old bed, I decided to take 3 hours out of my day to Brooklyn. When I called Urban Express to reschedule completion of my assembly for the following day, since I had no bed, they told me that I had to FIRST go to Ikea, get the parts and get a case reference number from Ikea before they could reschedule the appointment.

So I went to Ikea, gave them my order number number and waited 45 minutes while they tried to figure out why they couldn't process my order. In the meantime, they gave me a $25 store credit. Eventually, they asked if I had purchased the product in Brooklyn? I said, "no" I got it online. They said that they couldn't give me a case number and asked for the store credit back, "since the missing parts were online Ikea's fault." When I went to hand it back, the store manager said, "no, it's OK. You can keep it." I got the parts and left. Next day, I call Ikea online, waited half hour and got told that Brooklyn should have given me a case number. When I made a fuss, they gave me one, but refused to give me a discount because I had gotten the $25 card, and that the original customer service rep should have offered me a discount on the shipping, but now it's too late.

You call this customer service? Ikea should take a cue from Bed, Bath and Beyond and other competitors who live by the old credo that the customer is always right.

Obviously this person can't follow directions on how to put together a bed frame. The slatted bed base is supposed to sit on top of a supportive middle beam which Ikea provides. If the mid beam was in place, the base crashing to the floor would be impossible.
