Good but heavy,

I used this with my IkeLiteV8. I have no complaint other than it's a heavy piece of metal. I know the light is a heavy piece of equipment, so it has to be mounted on something that won't budge, but I wonder if there might be a lighter and equally tough material. If anyone knows, please let me know.
