Italian teen heartthrobs IL VOLO release IL VOLO - Christmas Favorites! The five song EP includes "Silent Night" and the German version "Stille Nacht," "Panis Angelicus," "The Christmas Song" featuring Pia Toscano (of American Idol fame) and a medley of classic Christmas songs including "Jingle Bell Rock," "Let It Snow" and "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year."
IL VOLO - Piero Barone 18, Ignazio Boschetto 17 and Gianluca Ginoble 16 have been receiving unanimous raves for their vocal talent and showmanship. Format:Audio CD
I absolutely love this group and attended their concert in NYC which was amazing. I could not wait for their Christmas release and sadly found it to be lacking in many ways. It seemed that the spark was gone and the arrangements didn't really showcase these amazing voices. Pia Toscana sounds great but there was really very little of her. Overall, I felt the album was hastily put together -- its actually only half an album with only 5 songs. These talented boys deserve better and their management should have done a better job for them. Hopefully, they will record another album of the caliber of their first.

I have been waiting for a Christmas album by Il Volo...thought it would be amazing. Instead, we get recylced material from their first release, plus a few X-mas songs thrown in for good measure. Even the cover art is recycled..in brown??? Ho, ho, ho, no.

Wish I had read the reviews before buying this one for my Father-in-law.
It's the same as their first CD (which we bought for him earlier in the year)
with a few Christmas songs tacked on the end of it. As another reviewer said
they even recycled the cover picture, only changing the background color.

Great Dissappointment
When I ordered this Deluxe Christmas Edition....thats what I expected....Christmas. I got almost a duplication of the other album of theirs with only a few Christmas Songs added.
