It is a different view point. The Afghanistan war seen from the Italian Army. A secondary world, far away from the massive american operations, where the focus is on the characters. There are many of them and they are very well defined and crafted.
A strong recommendation for this book

Intenso, emozionante, bellissimo.

The new novel by Paolo Giordano is even better than the first one.
A group of young men are confronted with the tragedy at the front and at the same time with their personal tragedy within. Each will respond in their personal way, each will learn something or die. Each will be different or die.
Also the reader will learn something from this book!
