5.0 out of 5 stars An Underrated Mariah Classic
It's a worrying thing when a song like "Disturbia" from a mediocre talent like Rihanna catapults to the pole position on the pop charts and a song as crazily addictive as "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" becomes officially stalled at #58.

The choice of "Bye Bye" as the second single from "E=MC2" was a poor one, but the same is not true here. While I was skeptical...

3.0 out of 5 stars WHY MARIAH!?
I just don't understand why she is picking the worst songs to be her singles from this album. I miss the old Mariah from the early 90's. Now we're all getting used to this hip-hop Mariah and the songs stink! "I Stay In Love" is a much better song than this. I was sure it would've been her next single. I would not recommend this song.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Underrated Mariah Classic, September 11, 2008

It's a worrying thing when a song like "Disturbia" from a mediocre talent like Rihanna catapults to the pole position on the pop charts and a song as crazily addictive as "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" becomes officially stalled at #58.

The choice of "Bye Bye" as the second single from "E=MC2" was a poor one, but the same is not true here. While I was skeptical at first when I heard T.I. performed a rap on this single version, he truly adds sizzle and flavor to the track with his snappy, uninhibited wordplay.

Speaking of no inhibitions, Carey has never before sounded more sultry and free-flowing. Her vocals are classic Mariah and the hooks are as sweet as jolly ranchers, but her unabashed singing of eternal devotion evokes a quality of sweet surrender. She sounds the complete and polar opposite of uptight - relaxed, carefree and utterly joyous.

In that light, "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" is a revelation and a welcome addition to Carey's catalogue. This is as perfect a pop song as they get. What more can a listener want?

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Lovin' Long Time, August 20, 2008
This review is from: I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time (MP3 Download)
When it has came down to this year in music, it unfortunately hasn't shown a lot of credibility for quality music. In Mariah Carey's situation, she hasn't shown that well in her music lately, which is just far off from her work with 2005's Emanicipation Of Mimi. Her third single from her latest album E=MC2, I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time, doesn't feel like it is something new and fresh from Mariah, which is sad, because she really sings very well. The feeling of the song with rapper T.I. just doesn't click, with the lack of chemistry they have singing this song. I really hope she can prove to have a better song than this one as a single soon. Honestly, because this one doesn't feel like there will be lovin' long time.

This is a great third single for Mariah. The pop beat is very addictive and her voice is much better and natural sounding than on "Touch My Body". This song is very good for the summer because of its summer vibe. The music video is also great! I wished she made remixes of this song and re-recorded vocals...I could really care less about T.I.'s rap, but it doesn't really bug me...But after this song, hopefully she records a killer ballad to release as a single.
