Sweet soulful unadulterated. Music that comes right up to your face and gives you a big friendly hug. Today's music is so vaccuous. It is overproduced in order to cover it's heartlessness. This music is genuine R&B and a great pleasure to enjoy.
I have to dig deeper and find out more about Velma and the High Steppers.

VELMA! Where have you been?? And her "High-Steppers?" Brill!! What can I say, it hit's the spot for me. Great antidote to soulless, cynical, marketing-driven GAP music (are you listening, Vampire Weekend?).
