4.0 out of 5 stars He's back and just in time for Christmas!
I love McKnight from "One Last Cry" on, but I confess I wasn't that enthused about his first Christmas CD. "I'll be Home for Christmas" is great and some of his best work so far.

"Christmas You and Me" is a duet with Vince Gill. Their voices blend together in an amazing duet. Very impressive.

"Who would have Thought" is a very soft tribute...

2.0 out of 5 stars I would not go to this home for Christmas.
When will singers learn that some classic songs cannot be song by anyone? I was very disappointed with the purchase of my first Brian McKnight CD. He attempts to sing the Nat King Cole classic, The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On an Open Fire)and it is just awful. The rest of the tunes range from good to adequate. During the holidays, I would fast forward to the...

4.0 out of 5 stars He's back and just in time for Christmas!, November 16, 2008
This review is from: I'll Be Home for Christmas (Audio CD)
I love McKnight from "One Last Cry" on, but I confess I wasn't that enthused about his first Christmas CD. "I'll be Home for Christmas" is great and some of his best work so far.

"Christmas You and Me" is a duet with Vince Gill. Their voices blend together in an amazing duet. Very impressive.

"Who would have Thought" is a very soft tribute to falling in love on Christmas Day. You might be able to play this one and get someone to fall in love all over again.

He also does a lot of what we'd expect. "Angels, we have heard on High" is exceptional. So's his "Silver Bells." Overall, this is a very listenable, soulful Christmas CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gratest Holiday Album Ever!, January 3, 2009
This review is from: I'll Be Home for Christmas (Audio CD)
I've been a Brian McKnight fan since I was a teenager, and I would have to say that this is his best holiday album yet! My favorite song on the album is Angels We Have Heard on High: with Josh Groban. It seems like everytime he goes into the studio he goes in as himself, and he always leaves his fans wondering, "What Next!"

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Christmas CD From Beginning to End, October 29, 2009

This review is from: I'll Be Home for Christmas (Audio CD)
Although I love Brian McKnight's voice, I was less than impressed with his first Christmas CD, so I hesitated to purchase his newest release. I shouldn't have waited -- it is everything I hoped it would be -- a winner from beginning to end. Backed by his solid band, the CD is consistent in quality and his voice has never sounded better. His duet with Josh Groban simply soars with both voices magically intertwining in a simply beautiful merger. You've got to have substantial chops to keep up with Groban, and McKnight does. His duet with Vince Gill is another highlight of the CD along with his collaboration with Take 6. There isn't a clunker in the bunch -- this is a CD that I will play again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding and great Soulful Album, November 21, 2010

This review is from: I'll Be Home for Christmas (Audio CD)
This cd will definately be in my cd player after Thanksgiving dinner. Brian McKnight did an excellent job on this CD, making some holiday classics, i.e. The Christmas Song, Silver Bells, into a modern day sound. It is a holiday treat and I recommend it for any Soulful Christmas fan. Get Babyface's Christmas album as well.

What more can be said? Brian could sing the ABC's and it would sound great. I am sure the ladies, single or married, will be under the mistletoe this Christmas with Brian in the background.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brian's voice brings out the magic of the Christmas season, November 14, 2008

Awesome Christmas CD, I often go through playing the same Christmas CD from past performers but this one is a definite added collection. It is way better than his Bethlehem CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some highlights, December 6, 2008
By
This review is from: I'll Be Home for Christmas (Audio CD)
Some of the albums is a bit generic, but there are gems--particularly his Marvin Gaye-esque "The Christmas Song", singing with his sons, and a special visit by Take 6.
