5.0 out of 5 stars How I love Fern Michaels Book's November 5, 2012
By Giemini
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have nearly every book writen by Fern Michael's, she captivated me with the first book of her's that I read called " Mr an Ms anomimiss( sorry my writing is off because I am lossing my vision) but that book lead to a love for all her works, an even though I may be lossing my sight I will try to get the books in auditory form. The sisterhood was an other great series by her, I just couldn't wait to get the next book after I read the first, an the ending of the last book in that series left me wondering if she had plans to creat a nother series with some of the same careters, like I said, I have almost all her books, only time is against me being abale to read them so I will try to get the books I won't be able to finish onto audio for my new Kindel 8.9, because right now I only have the Kidel fire an the lettering is as big as I can get it an I also use a magnifier, but I'm not complaining, I just love Fern Michaels books an will keep on reading them for as long as I can an as long as she keeps writing them BEST WISHES TO FERN MICHAELS AN AMAZON WHO I GET HER BOOKS FROM........ THANK YOU... DENISE M. OLSON

5.0 out of 5 stars Curl Up By the Fire with Fern Michaels February 26, 2012
Format:Paperback
*A Little Head's Up: The stories have been updated and reprinted. These are not new stories.

Merry, Merry
4 stars - Andi Evans was a struggling new veterinarian, who lived with 30+ animals and piles of unpaid bills. Peter King wanted her property and was willing to pay any price for it. After meeting the feisty lady, Peter started to have a change heart. Not regarding the property. But towards the idea of having a family that consisted of him, some animals and a pretty, unsuspecting veterinarian.

The only reason I gave this book a 4 stars was because the writing tended to be all over the place for half of the book. For example, they would have long dialogues, switching between one and/or the other, without a break in between. So there are no descriptions but they will talked in reference to what they are doing. It can be a bit tedious at times. However, I found the characters to be real sweethearts. Andi was feisty, caring and not willing back down when it counted. Peter was a little slow but he did know how to humble himself when he had to apologize. Other than the writing, this story was short and sweet. A few funny scenes and little mystery kept the reader hooked.

A Bright Red Ribbon
3.5 stars - Morgan Ames has waited 2 years for her ex-boyfriend to visit her in front of her Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. And this would be the year he was going to propose and nothing was going to stop her from being there. However, what she didn't plan was getting caught in a raging blizzard without any gas. Doomed to death, a dog showed up with a red ribbon in his mouth and led Morgan to his home and his wheelchair-bound owner, Marcus Bishop.

The style of writing is very similar to "Merry, Merry.

4.0 out of 5 stars Christmas, Snow, Love and Romance.... October 3, 2012
Format:Mass Market Paperback
If you like reading stories set during the magic of the holiday season, then you will probably like Fern Michaels re-released short stories found in I'll Be Home For Christmas. These stories are all light, enjoyable reads that describe the relationships of four different couples who initially come together as adversaries, but end up through the magic of Christmas, falling in love and changing each others lives.

A struggling veterinarian reluctantly falls in love with the man who is determined to buy her out of her family business; A woman on a hopeless quest for love finds herself snowbound with the brave dog who saves her life during a blizzard and his oh so handsome owner who happens to be in a wheelchair; Two successful career people return to their childhood homes to help their parents get their lives back on track and in the process they meet, fall in love and realize that old family memories aren't exactly what they thought they were and only through working together can they find the true magic of Christmas. Lastly, two long time adversaries forced to work in the same department store, soon find that they will both be out of a job unless they work together to find a way to save the store from closing and suddenly the line between love and hate seems very thin and Christmas time is a perfect time to fall in love with the enemy.

These are typical light, feel good, happy ending Christmas stories that will make you smile... so grab some hot chocolate and enjoy!

I have read the first story in this book and was sorely disappointed. I am more of a "historical" lover but I still enjoy any kind of well written romance. These stories were not well written. Hopefully this was written early on in her career. All the curse words that she throws in are NOT necessary to achieve the "feelings"...instead they just aggravate me since they are not needed.
It felt choppy -I never knew where the main characters were. I mean the background was useless. No description of anything ....for example ...the character was standing one moment then her back hits lots of pillows ....I had to keep reading to find out where this happened at.... the last place she was in was the bathroom....most people don't have tons of pillows strewn across the floor in that room.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Little Too Sweet for my Taste
The stories are heart warming but not gripping. Fern Michaels appeals to many, but her stories could be a little "meatier" for my taste.
