A must-read for those who don't take life too seriously, and enjoy poking fun at human nature.
Hilariously funny, but hearthfelt look at men at their most confused and women at their bitchy best!!

I'm pregnant with my first child and I am terrified of giving birth. I saw this book and bought it and it has made me feel so much better!!! I loved all the stories and my husband has even read some of them and thought they were great!! I have told all my friends who are expecting to buy this book....I just can't say enough about how great it is!!!!

I liked this book cause it has lots of real, actual stories of childbirth, from the moms, dads, docs, nurses, doulas, and more. Its very funny! I've had one child and am pregnant with my second, so it was great reading about an experience I've been through once and will go through again in a few months.

If you are questioning your ability to actually give birth, this book is for you. It is made up of different people telling their stories and anecdotes from when they experienced childbirth. Not only mothers, but fathers, nurses, doctors, doulas, midwives and family friends tell heartwarming stories of labor and delivery. Many of the stories are by celebrities or sports stars which made them all seem more relateable.
This book is a wonderful companion to any 'serious' pregnancy book you are reading. Like the Girlfriend books, "I'll Never..." gives moms-to-be as well as dads-to-be a lighthearted look at an inevitable situation.

A friend gave me this book at my baby shower. She read one story out loud and then everybody else chimed in with their own "tales from the delivery room."

It's a hoot! The other "motherhood" books I got were all pretty sappy, but this one is a lot of fun (although there are a couple of stories that might put a lump in your throat).

The celebrity stories are cool, too. It's nice to know that fame and fortune are no hedge against the insanity of labor.

Bottom line: fun, entertaining antidote to morning sickness.

This book about funny labor and delivery stories is great! You always hear about the horror stories, but this one puts a new twist on them, and makes them very funny! I really loved it!

Bleidner has put together a funny and realistic look at the process of childbirth, blending true stories of twists and turns of having a baby with a hilarious sense of humor. Most of these stories are laugh out loud funny and many tug at the heartstrings as well. Any mother about to give birth or who has already done so will identify with a good many of these stories. My only dislike was the addition of the celebrities' stories because most added very little to the cohesiveness of the tales and weren't very interesting to boot. But overall, this is a fun book which should bring a smile to the face of mothers everywhere.

Ever since I found out I was responsible for childbirth, I have always been scared of it - mainly the pain. This book was so entertaining, I could not put it down, and it was also such a great stress reliever. Knowing that many women have done it before, and under unusual circumstances. It inspired me to read more into the birth experience and be as prepared as I could be. I ended up having a natural childbirth (no epidural) and am so thankful that this book helped me get over the fear of pain.

This book is a must read for your Sister,Mother or Best Friend. Woman can relate to these experiences.I laughed in the eyes of truthful humor and cried through the heartwarming descriptions the authors gave of their own familys.A fun book!C.J.B.

I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about this book.
I bought this book when I was about five months pregnant. Needless to say, like most pregnant women- I was moody.
I came across this book and I literally laughed SO hard and SO much that I thought I was going to go into labor. There are stories in here for EVERYONE. I had talked about twelve of my pregnant friends and mommies into buying this book and they all LOVE it. That book went with me into the delivery room and was enjoyed by all. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who has ever given birth or who is pregnant. You will not regret it!!!
