This 21-track CD collects the entirety of Flo and Eddie's third and fourth albums, their final releases for Reprise Records in the 1970s and the last albums the duo would release as a full-time project; following these, Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan (perhaps best known for the work as the Turtles) would only occasionally dust off their sardonic Flo and Eddie personas. The duo's most commercially successful albums and critical high points, ILLEGAL, IMMORAL AND FATTENING and MOVING TARGETS mix goofy humor, hard rock, and glam posturing in a unique blend. Probably the funniest album they ever did. If you like crazy humour mixed in with classic rock this is for you. Some swearing but acceptable in context with the songs and humour.

The Two Albums Here Are The Third And Fourth Albums From Ex-Turtles Members Howard Kaylan And Mark Volman Aka Flo And Eddie.

Illegal, Immoral and Fattening Is A Nice Mix Of Studio And Live Recordings Mostly Written By The Duo With A Couple Of Cover Songs Thrown In.They Also Do A Fine Rendition Of Eddie Are You Kidding A Song From When They Performed With Frank Zappa And The Mothers.

Moving Targets Was Written Entirely By The Duo With The Exception Of Guns Which Jim Pons Also Wrote And Elenore Which Is An Old Turtles Song.Highlights Include Keep It Warm And Elenore.

This Collection Was Remastered By Bill Inglot

Highly Recommended For Fans Of "Alternative/Non-Mainstream" Music.

Moving Targets is simply an underappreciated, overlooked gem from the mid 70's that deserved more attention than it got. The humor and personalities of Volman and Kaylan shine throughout and are wrapped in some undeniably catchy songs such as Keep It Warm and Mama Open Up. It will bring a smile to your face. The CD ends with Moving Targets which for me is the highlight. A great change of pace rocker with an extremely catchy hook.

Illegal, Immoral and Fattening has all the humor without quite the quality of songs as Moving Target. Still, its by no means a waste. I highly recommend this 2-fer CD for fans of Flo and Eddie or The Turtles. I truly believe the Moving Targets CD in particular, captures the best of Flo and Eddie and is a full realization of the potential they showed in The Turtles.
