With warm, gentle tones, Alan Zimmerman characterizes John Benson as a loving family man. Those tones become lethal, cold, and calculating when Benson learns his wife and daughter have been killed by a car bomb meant for him. The listener is tensely propelled into this intriguing murder mystery as Benson assumes new identities with ease and draws on old behaviors that kept him alive in his mysterious past. Zimmerman's narration is exceptional as he portrays Benson's path of revenge. G.D.W. © AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
