I gave this book to all my good friends for Christmas. Every one of them, and they are an eclectic group, loves it. This is a book to be savoured like a fine wine. Each time you pick it up, you discover something new and wonderful. I find a favorite poem or photograph or essay or quotation every time I look at it. There are so many jewels here, so much accumulated talent. The editiors, Jennifer McMahon and Mark Tompkins, have truly given all of us who are lucky enough to encounter this book a gift to be treasured for many years. If you haven't been lucky enough to have been given this book, buy one for yourself today. You will love it!

This is a marvelous collection filled with fresh and original graphics, poetry and prose dealing with struggles and successes along the spiritual path.

Disclosure first, though. I'm one of the contributors with two poems included. I've never been so stunned, however, by a finished product that included my work. The beauty of this book's production, the dozens of fine photos and paintings and the sincere sentiments expressed in the poetry and prose, compelled me to spread the word.

"Illuminations" is a very special book, in which spiritual seekers from around the world portray their struggles, their failures, their discoveries. It is packed with surprises and treasures.

This is a wonderful book. The first time I saw it was late one night, after a long day at work, when I came home and saw the copy my daughter had left on the coffee table. I picked it up for a quick look and two hours later I had to tear myself away from it. It is beautiful to look at, with the photographs and art work, and fascinating to read, with each piece being distinctly different from any other. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves beauty, art, poetry but I also recommend this book to those who love words. As a business professor, books on spirituality are not my "thing", but this book captivated me. Buy it for yourself and then buy it for everyone you love.

ILLUMINATIONS is truly a MUST. This book is perfect for those of us who are looking for beauty, understanding, and spiritual richness in life. It is filled with magnificent art work, photographs, drawings and the myriad of various texts just left me astounded. I have given this book to a dozen friends and have received nothing but kudos for doing so! I have referred to ILLUMINATIONS several times during the past year and inevitably receive the inspiration therein.

This book is a real treasure. It's a wonderful compilation of art and personal stories from people who are looking for greater spiritual meaning in their lives. Rather than preaching, it has people share their experiences from around the globe about their spiritual journey. It reminded me how alike we all are and validated some of my own inner reflections. I highly recommend this book.

It was produced to promote interfaith understanding, something we sorely need in our world today. Full of beautiful photos and art work, poetry and interviews from famous and new poets, artists, writers and photographers from around the world, it makes a superb addition to any home library or to grace an elegant coffee table.

I sent five to relatives as holiday gifts and I'm sure they will love the book as I do. What better way to celebrate a Birthday or say Happy Holidays than to give the spirit of compassion, enlightenment and joy without any of the "negative qualities" sometimes associated with religions today!?

A book to slowly taste--word by word. Bask in glorious graphics; savor the thick paper; turn only a page a day to make it last!

In a time when things are getting better and better and worse and worse, faster and faster and when anything is possible and nothing is certain, its nice to be able to discover a little bit of sanity and solace in a world of madness.

I was delighted to be asked to contribute to this treasure house of inspirtion and soul touching stories. This book is both deeply moving and a visual masterpiece. It belongs on the coffee tables and in the guestrooms of our homes so it can inspire us and our friends on a daily basis.

Aesthetically pleasing, intellectually satisfying and spiritually stimulating. The visual art in Illuminations is of a consistently high quality and beautifully complements the written word. Whilst the individual pieces in the book are in themselves of a high standard, enjoyable and thought provoking, the book as a whole is a work of art, an arch of spiritual questions, experience and exploration.
