I decided to give this collar a try since I have tried many other collars to stop my dog from pulling. I have the regular slip collar, prong collar, harness, regular collar in different materials and nothing worked. The prong worked for a little bit but it wore off. Then I ordered the Illusion collar in size small for my Boston Terrier. At first I thought maybe the small would not go on and off easily because he has a big head. When I receive the collar, it was larger than I expected, maybe a little large for my Boston. The straps are pretty wide for a size small. I would have thought they would have used narrower straps. It would work well for dogs with long necks but my Boston's neck is a little short for this collar. Forget about it if your dog has no neck like a Pug or maybe a Bulldog. Anyways, I tried it on him to see if it works. It looked like a neck brace and he looked miserable with it on. We went for a walk and I can't believe the results. He did not pull once. Did I mentioned that he's aggressive towards larger dogs when he's on a leash? Well, with the Illusion collar on, we went on a hike that we usually come across many large dogs and he did not even once attempted to go after them. We have been on about 6-7 walks with the Illusion collar on and not even one attempt to go after a big dog. He's getting more comfortable with it on and I really hope it doesn't wear off because I don't know what else out there to buy him. Still a little early to tell but so far so good.

I purchased the Illusion Collar and Leash for my Jack Russell that lunges instead of walks. It really helped and made walking her much easier. The only thing is one buckle broke right away. I fixed it with Velcro so it is working now and we never walk without it. The sender was excellent and I received this item quickly after ordering it.

I literally have tried everything to get my two very strong mixed breed dogs to stop pulling on walks (one is a husky/basenji/beagle mix, the other a JRT/bull terrier/corgi). I've only had the Illusion collar for a few days but it's better than any of the other products I've tried -- head/over the nose device, no-pull harness, martingales, different kinds of training...the list goes on. I wish I had ordered this collar a long time ago.

Btw, they were right on the border of small/medium based on neck measurement (15.5 - 16"). I got one in each size to compare, and the small definitely fits better. They're both in the 35ish lb range and generally take mediums in most things.

They love walks and sniffing around so much and enjoyed being allowed to go ahead on a bungee leash that I wondered if they'd enjoy walking a little slower beside me, or behind me. Apparently they do. Not only are they improving on our walks -- they're listening and paying more attention to me when not walking, too. And they seem to be less edgy about other dogs we pass on our walks. (For the first week or so I'm taking them out separately; I'll be interested to see how they do when I walk them together.)

If you have a puller, or a headstrong dog (in either sense of the term), I highly recommend ordering the Illusion collar! Also, *excellent* delivery time from this seller was much appreciated.

I'm not a big one for writing reviews. I should probably be better, since I really use the reviews when I make purchases- but after something like 3000 purchases on Amazon (probably an UNDER exaggeration), I've only reviewed a handful of items. This collar makes that list.

I've a sweet, wonderful puppy. I have no idea what sort of parentage he has- something like an Italian greyhound, lab, shar pai mix- a little, black, wonderful mutt! He is terribly easily distracted when walking, likes to jump up and say 'hi!' to absolutely everyone and LOVES to PULL the on the leash.

I would take him out for a walk, and we would take a step, as soon as he pulled I would stop and wait for him to stop pulling and then we would start again- and take a step and have to stop. Walks haven't been all that enjoyable for either of us.

My sister uses the gentle leader on her mini schnauzer, and it works- but the dog HATES it. She sees the collar and instantly starts to sulk. That's no fun for anyone to take her for a walk- not the walker or the walkee. I wanted my dog to really ENJOY walking- just that I wanted to be able to enjoy it too!

Not sure what to expect, I ordered this collar on a lark- figuring that if it didn't work there was nothing really lost. We tried the collar today and went for a nice long walk. A whole hour, and it was WONDERFUL! Obi (my dog, Obi-Wan Kenobi, named by my 5 year old) didn't pull. Every time that he would start to pull, he stopped himself. The only time I had to do a correction was when we walked by two very yappy little dogs, and the correction was VERY mild.

It's a strange collar. It took me a little bit to figure out how to put it on. It's essentially a neck brace with a slip collar attached. The neck brace pushes the slip collar part right up under the dog's chin and behind his ears. Obi wasn't *thrilled* to have the collar put on, but it didn't make him angry or sulky- he just tossed his head back a couple times and shook it- no real complaints over it.

The way that it's sized, it probably won't fit all dogs. The neck brace part is adjustable to the circumference of the dog's neck, but not really to the length, which is unfortunate. If it fits your dog though- it works WONDERS!

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

I love it. We have a Min Pin and he pulls a lot no matter what type of harness he has on. With the Illusion we get to walk him instead of him trying to walk us. Love it!

This collar works very well as described. Well made also. The only feature I wish it had is the ability for the straps to somehow remain in place rather than undoing them and redoing them every time I put on the collar.The Illusion Collar By Cesar Millan: Black and Small in Size

I think it would be a great product - howevedr what was not included in the description was that it was not recommended for greyhound types of dogs with long necks - which was the dog I was purchasing it for. If this had been included in the description that would have been IMMENSELY helpful. I also had a hard time ordering the size - it only gave me one option and no sizing chart - which is almost a necessity with this type of product.

I have two large mixed breed dogs that are a nightmare to walk. Being hound mixes, they want to stop every 5 seconds. I want them to be dogs, but I also want to be able to have some control! These collars are not a miracle and they don't improve overnight, but I have noticed a definite improvement in 3 days. Not pulling as much definitely. Thanks so much Cesar.

First of all the company shipped the product really fast.
I would say it initially decreased the amount of force my dog pulls in half. After about 3 weeks though she has become accustomed to the collar and is pulling almost constantly. The harness helps keep the noose from riding down the neck, but it doesn't keep it from turning on the dog's neck and winding up on the side of the dog's neck or even down 180 degrees at the dog's throat.

Finally!!! Something that actually works for my golden retriever. It gives me all the control I need over my large dog, Ceasar Milan products really do work! THANKYOU CEASAR FOR CREATING THIS COLLAR!
