Margaret is a Dental Hygiene Educational Consultant and Dental Science Writer. She received her Masters degree in Oral Biology at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, and her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene at Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI as well as a Certificate of Clinical Research from the University of Washington. She has many years of clinical experience in Washington State and Wisconsin, as well as an extensive background as an educator in Washington State and California in both dental and dental hygiene schools. She is an adjunct instructor for the online BASDH for St. Petersburg College. Her continuing work as ADHA SCI Liaison in various Tobacco Control Programs for the state of Washington has been an asset to her community; she is now also a member of ADHA Tobacco Intervention Initiative Committee. She is the recent recipient of the ADHA Award of Excellence and a member of the Academy of Dental Hygiene.
Margaret has authored journal articles, as well as professional, office, and consumer newsletters, and also professional textbooks (see list). Her Continuing Education Seminars have been well received nationally and internationally; she has presented at both ADA and ADHA.
