Excellent trivia book with many historical details,
By rseavey@ridgecrest.ca.us (Ridgecrest, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Illustrated Corvette Buyer's Guide (Motorbooks International Illustrated Buyer's Guide) (Paperback)
While not a large book (only 176 pages), nor technical by any nature, this book does cover the C1-C5 (up to 1997) in a fantastic "meat and potatoes" manner. I would have liked to have seen even more detail (especially on the specialty Corvette options such as the ZR-1, L-88, ZL-1, etc.), what it did have was excellent and accurate. The price/option sheets and the Serial Number identifiers were an unexpected bonus for a book of this size and price.Keep it up Michael!

Corvette: A Buyers Guide,
By Hebba Lana Kachami (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Illustrated Corvette Buyer's Guide (Motorbooks International Illustrated Buyer's Guide) (Paperback)
Given the small size of the book the detail is excellent and accurate. The book was published in black and white (including illustrations) which limited the identification of Corvette models. For example, the corvette Anniversary model in the 1980's has body colored alloys and a different sort of pillar on the door. The book is very useful if you are wanting to purchase a corvette as it has engine numbers, colours and all details from that date so that you know all the real details of the car. Perhaps the next addition will have colored pictures, considering that most aspects of a car are viewed and it is important to identify the subtle details of a vehicle, especially special features (ie. anniversary cars).
