Editorial Reviews

Review

...a superb example of the informative synergy that can be achieved when words and illustrations are combined. Reasonably priced at $99, this dictionary should find a home in the offices, laboratories or departmental/university libraries wherever advanced mycology courses/research exist. --Journal of Phytopathology

...authoritative, comprehensive and destined to become a classic in mycological literature. What a fortunate fate for professionals and devotees of the fungi! This reference work is highly recommended for plant scientist, academic and research libraries, and institutions studying fungi. --E-Streams

...provides an extremely useful key to technical terms used in systematic mycology. It should throw a lifeline to many a student and non-specialist trying to translate descriptive terms into recognizable English. --CABI Bioscience

Format: Hardcover
If you are interested in having in hand a reference book that explains scientific mycological terms as well as the etymology of generic names, this is your book. The illustrations are also extremely helpful, and the book comes in an elegant hardbout format and a reasonable price. It is a good complement to Ainsworth and Bisby's "Dictionary of Fungi". Dr. Ulloa had originally published a Spanish version of this book, and now APS has figured out that it would be a hit in English. This book should be mandatory for undergraduate students taking basic mycology, and for graduate students working in the field.
