About the Author

Simon Lilly trained as a crystal therapist and colour therapist in the 1980s. He has also studied different forms of kinesiology and the use of flower essences. With his wife, Sue, he developed and produces Green Man Essences, a large range of vibrational essences gathered from British trees. Since 1991, Simon has been a senior tutor for the Institute of Crystal and Gem Therapists (ICGT) and a founder member of the Affiliation of Crystal Healing Organisations (ACHO), which was set up to promote crystal healing training standards in the UK. Both Simon and Sue have written over a dozen books on crystal healing, flower essences and working with vibrational remedies. Their first publication Crystal Doorways presented a unique and effective system using colour, crystals and sacred geometry to promote self-healing and personal development. A selection of those techniques can be found within this book.

As previous reveiws have stated, this book is full of beautiful pictures of crystals and healing layouts. The author also goes into the backgroud of how crystals are formed, and their molecular strucure, and the properties they have that make them useful for healing. He also goes into some safety precautions about how to use the crystals for healing (so that no one gets hurt). I would definately recommend this book, I think the best crystal books are the ones with the pretty, colorful pictures, it makes it that much more interesting. I recommend this book along with "the illustrated guide to crystals" (or "the crystal bible") to get aquainted with all the different crystals and their usages."the crystal wisdom kit" would also be another good investment if you want to start working with crystals. Hope this helps!

I love this beautiful book with its colorful, glossy photos of crystals and gemstones. Very interesting and informative, it explores various crystal healing "layouts" and methods. I haven't tried them yet, but I probably will! Well worth the price.
