Good coverage and one of the best sources available,
By Steven R. Rippon (Danville, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Illustrated Encyclopedia of American Trucks and Commercial Vehicles (Paperback)
Albert Mroz does an excellent job in describing in both words and in black & white pictures the more than 1200 different American trucks and Commercial vehicles. This is a very useful research tool for the automotive historian. Details behind the manufacturer's products as well as the history behind the companies is very thorough. I would welcome a revised edition with added marques and additional historical information as well as a listing of production figures. This book should be in every auto historian and truck researcher's library.

Very comprehensive and through.,

While there are many factual errors in this book the author has dug out an incredible amount of information on some very obscure trucks. It is the best of the three commercial vehicle encyclopedias.

Lacks information on Mack trucks of the 1950 's era,
By "oldmackluver" (Dexter, Mo. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Illustrated Encyclopedia of American Trucks and Commercial Vehicles (Paperback)
I bought the book looking for information on the LTL and W 71 model Macks. There was very little info on the LTL and none on the W71. There was very little info on the H model. The book might be good for someone wanting some general knowledge on a wide variety of trucks.
