A long-needed book in the field, April 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Body/Mind Disciplines (Library Binding)
This is a wonderful introduction to many different body-mind disciplines although not an introduction to body-mind. It is not designed to be read from cover to cover yet I find that the more entries I read still more entries I find myself reading. They are all written by authorities in their field. However, this book is not an instruction manual if that is what you are looking for. One of my favorite features is that each entry names organizations and books for further research. I do find, however, that the book is far from all inclusive. This may be attributable fact that there is an inexhaustible multitude of therapies. Still, it would be nice to have them all under one roof. Great book, nevertheless. I appreciate the entries and their eloquent, approachable, authoritative manner.

I purchased the Encyclopedia for more information about Zero-balancing and found a wealth of information about things that I didn't even know existed! I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for information about the latest massage and meditation techniques or anything elese having to with the conjunction of the mind and body
